Keynote Speaker
Pastor Gwendolyn D. Gilmore
Full Gospel Faith Fellowship Church and Elyria Ministerial Alliance
Gwendolyn D. Gilmore was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1955. Her family moved to Lorain County
after her father’s job relocated them here. She attended Elyria schools and later graduated from Oberlin High
School. It was in Oberlin that she met and later married her high school sweetheart Richard. They have three
sons, Rick Jr, Matthew, David, a foster daughter, Stacey and seven grandchildren. After receiving two
Associate Degrees from Lorain County Community College, Pastor Gilmore was hospitalized with a sudden
and near fatal brain hemorrhage. This traumatic experience would be a major turning point in her life. After
being in a coma for two weeks, Pastor Gilmore was miraculously healed. Six months later she returned to work
and school to later finish a Bachelor’s Degree in Math and Computer Science Degree at Baldwin Wallace
College. Pastor Gilmore began teaching as an Adjunct Math Professor at LCCC and within months she started
teaching at Elyria High. She continued working while pursuing Master’s Degree in Mathematics, but later
sensed a tugging in her heart to transfer into Ashland’s Theological Seminary. While teaching, she served as an
Evangelist before accepting her call to the pastorate. She was ordained as a pastor in South Bend, Indiana under
the leadership of the late Dr. Lester Sumrall of LeSea Ministries and the World Harvest Christian Church.
In 1996, she and her husband founded Full Gospel Faith Fellowship Church, an Inter-denominational
Bible-based Christian Fellowship located in Lorain, Ohio. In 2001, Pastor Gilmore started a non-profit faithbased Community Service organization called, the FGFF Rapha (Healing) International Center Incorporated.
The Center has several components including a Christian Childcare Center, Summer Camp, and Health
Awareness, Feed the Homeless and Hungry, Job Training and many other outreach services. Among her many
hats, Since 2003, Pastor Gilmore serves as the first and only female president of the Elyria Ministerial Alliance,
a non-profit organization that has served the Lorain County pastors, ministers and the community since 1948.
While Pastor Gilmore has received many awards for her service, her greatest reward is to see people walk in
peace, love, health, prosperity and their God-given potential. It is her philosophy, “that it is better to prepare a
life than repair it.” She lives in Elyria with her husband of 42 years.

Lift Every Voice and Sing
(Opening Song)
VERSE 1
Lift every voice and sing, till earth and heaven ring,
Ring with the harmonies of liberty;
Let our rejoicing rise, high as the list’ning skies,
Let it resound loud as the rolling sea.
Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us,
Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us;
Facing the rising sun of our new day begun,
Let us march on till victory is won.
VERSE 2
Stony the road we trod, bitter the chast’ning rod,
Felt in the days when hope unborn had died;
Yet with a steady beat, have not our weary feet,
Come to the place for which our fathers sighed?
We have come over a way that with tears has been watered,
We have come, treading our path thro’ the blood of the slaughtered,
Out from the gloomy past, till now we stand at last
where the white gleam of our bright star is cast.
VERSE 3
God of our weary years, God of our silent tears,
Thou who hast brought us thus far on our way;
Thou who hast by thy might, led us into the light,
Keep us forever in the path, we pray.
Lest our feet stray from the places, our God, where we met Thee,
Lest our hearts, drunk with the wine of the world, we forget Thee;
Shadowed beneath Thy hand, may we forever stand,
true to our God, true to our native land.
Lyrics by James Weldon Johnson
Music by J. Rosemond Johnson
