Dr. Desiree Budd—UW-STOUT Psychology (Rm C122)
If That Was My Real Mother My Heart Would Go Pitter-Pat
Dr. Budd will discuss the role the emotional centers in the
brain play in the ability of people to recognize the faces of
loved ones. Volunteers will then view a slide show of faces
including pictures of their mothers while their emotional responses to each of the images will be measured using electrodermal activity on the palms of their hands. The audience will
use the data to determine which of the mother’s faces correspond with each of the volunteers.
Dr. Brian Keller—Countryside Veterinarian (Rm C124)
Dr. Brian Keller of Countryside Veterinarian Clinic will be
discussing the day-to-day activities of a practicing veterinarian
and the courses needed to become a veterinarian.
Steve Weinzierl—EPS (Rm C223)
Engineered Propulsion Systems (EPS) was formed in 2006 right
here in New Richmond to develop, manufacture, and market a
revolutionary new general aviation diesel engine, which addresses the needs of the single and light-twin piston engine
market. The EPS engine sets new standards for fuel economy
and performance.
Travis Tubre—UW-River Falls Neuroscience (Rm C225)
UW-River Falls has developed and is now offering a new program in neuroscience. Travis will be discussing what the program will have to offer as well as recommendations for courses
students should take in high school in preparation for the
neuroscience program.
Karl Dadez—Dadez Physical Therapy (Rm C227)

not the skin! Come and find out, along with the most important
finding in the prevention and rehabilitation of all injuries with
Karl Dadez PT, JISCC, from Dadez Physical Therapy, Inc.

Sarah D. Larson—Rockwell Automation (Rm C123)
Most think of engineers as technical nerds hidden behind a computer screen, but that is not the truth! Sarah Larson, engineer by
trade, is blazing a new path in her current role as commercial
marketing program manager at Fortune 500 company Rockwell
Automation. Sarah will tell you all about her experience using her
technical degree to do the non-traditional while having fun!
Nikolas Ramlow—Clarity Consulting (Rm C125)
Clarity Consulting is a software development and consulting firm.
Nikolas will share his experiences working with consulting teams
and product teams on all things related to communication and
collaboration.

tissue engineering at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Tissue
and Cellular Innovation Center.
Dr. Nick Weiss, M.D.—St. Croix Orthopedic (Rm C224)
Dr. Weiss is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes
in hip, knee, and shoulder injuries, and sports medicine. Dr. Weiss
will share his expertise and interest in sports medicine, arthroscopy, and joint replacement. He serves as a team physician for the
University of St. Thomas, St. Paul Saints, Woodbury Royals, Somerset and New Richmond high schools.
Amanda Williams & Taylor Maus—UW-STOUT (Rm F140)
Amanda and Taylor will be presenting about the national Pro-Start
experience and UW Stout Hospitality program.

To Play or Not to Play a Contact Sport During High School: The
Effect of Repetitive Sports-Related Head-Impact and Concussion
Overview of project being conducted at UW-Stout by faculty
and undergraduates that explores the long-term consequences
of concussion and repetitive “sub-concussive” head impacts
on cognitive function of individuals whose sports career was
limited to high school.

billion people living on our planet today; by 2050 that number
will be 9.7 billion. That means more demand for commodities
