Contest for
Barley Sheaf 5K
How would you like to design a t-shirt that’s worn by hundreds of people at the
Barley Sheaf 5K?!
On a white, 8½ x 11 sheet of paper, create an illustration that:
 Represents Barley Sheaf School
 Is done using only black pencil, pen, or thin Sharpie
 Is done in the “portrait” orientation
 Is your own original artwork
 Includes the following text:
o 6th Annual Barley Sheaf 5K
o April 27, 2014
A group of adults will narrow down the entries to a final three. The entire school will vote on the
three finalists during the week of March 31st.
The following prizes will be awarded:




1st Prize: $15 gift card (you choose: iTunes, Game Stop, Rita’s, or 5 Below) and a t-shirt
with your artwork on it
2nd Prize: $5 gift card (you choose: Rita’s or 5 Below)
3rd Prize: $5 gift card (you choose: Rita’s or 5 Below)
Just for Trying Prize: Everyone who submits artwork will be entered into a drawing for a
$5 gift card (you choose: Rita’s or 5 Below)
Please put your entry in an envelope marked “BS PTO - 5K T-Shirt Contest”. Don’t forget to put
your name and your teacher’s name on the back of your illustration.
All entries are DUE NO LATER than FRIDAY, MARCH 28th.
