they need to spend some quality time together, and then drags Max off on a

some huntin' and some fishin', "hyuk," Max schemes to get them to LA where he

Nomkhosi is elegant, beautiful and charming, despite a small drinking problem, kept

environmental affairs and they have two children attending school at top private
schools. She‟s the epitome of a Lady who lunches, smiling charmingly for the
cameras on her husband‟s arm at all important political and photographic events.
Although bright enough, with a BA under her belt, Nomkhosi has never been in the
workplace, sitting on charity boards and doing her bit for the community as long as it
involves nothing more than her smiling face. And despite her creeping sense of
boredom and stagnancy, and the fact that Jet has no time for her anymore due to
work pressures; Nomkhosi enjoys her life. She enjoys the comfort, the quiet wealth,
the cars and drives the kids to private schools, the maids, the parties. She loves her
husband, believing him to be a man of integrity who has sacrificed much for this
country. The perfect balance is upset by the entrance into the picture of Thato
Kunene – her husband‟s new assistant. Nomkhosi soon discovers that nothing is

LIVE IT! is a youth health talk show which is brought across in a fun, edutainment,

The journey of South Africa told through the stories of its motor vehicles‟.
South Africa is a country with a strong car culture. Sociologically cars are important
indicators. They are a symbol of social status; they are a realization of passion, they
are a symbol of freedom and to a degree, extensions of each owner‟s identity. In
townships these cars are named in a particular manner and the connotations
attached to these names are as varied as the names given to them (e.g. Gusheshe,
Dolphin, Umadunusa, Idombolo, etc). In suburbia however, whether a car is called
Nanna or Berite is of no consequence. The fact is these are not just automobiles;
they are representations of both freedom and progress, and refer to a particular
culture and slice of time in South Africa‟s history.
Cars have significant stories attached to them and it is these stories that the
documentary series Culture of Cars seeks to uncover. Through the use of a
presenter, the series will explore the anthropological, cultural and social elements
informing the culture surrounding cars, its naming and the model of ownership as a
phenomenon in South Africa. The story of this culture will be seamlessly weaved

The 2012 Soul Train Awards was a celebration of R&B/Soul music like no other!
Taped at Planet Hollywood Live Las Vegas and simultaneously airing on BET and
Centric, the ceremony was hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, who tried to “soul Vegas
up” in vignettes throughout the show. This was the first Soul Train awards after the
untimely passing of founder/creator Don Cornelius, whose influence on music is still
felt till this day. The show was filled with tributes to Cornelius and words from his
son Tony Cornelius, a moment symbolizing the passing of the torch. There were so
many great performances. The show opened with a medley of performances by
Raphael Saadiq channeling Johnnie Taylor, Leah Labelle‟s tribute to Teena Marie with
“Square Biz”, Anthony Hamilton sang Bill Wither‟s “Lovely Day,” and Fantasia had
the auditorium shouting with her Aretha Franklin cover of “Don‟t Play That Song For
Me.” Charlie Wilson performed his Gap Band hit “Outstanding.” NeYo broke it down
with “Let Me Love You” in an all cream ensemble, and Keyshia Cole belted “Trust and
Believe” then melted in to “Enough of No Love” minus Lil Wayne. John Legend
performed “Tonight (Best You‟ve Ever Had)” while seated at the piano surrounded by
female dancers. Miguel rocked out with “Adorn,” while Charlie Wilson showed Cedric
the Entertainer how to do it old school with his single “My Love Is All I Have.” Elle
Varner looked and sounded stunning with herperformance of “Refill.” The world got a
whiff of what we can expect from TGT (a mega R&B group consisting of Tyrese,
Ginuwine, and Tank) as Tyrese brought out the other two after his performance of
“Stay.” X-Factor contestant Marcus Canty would have made Luther Vandross proud
with his tribute to Luther Vandross by singing “Never Too Much.” Eddie Levert
tributeed his son‟s Gerald and Sean with the Levert hit “Cassanova.” Rapper 2

the money she needs to open her dream eatery. However, their smooch not only
