The Ottoman Empire
Day 1.
After arriving in Istanbul, transfer
to hotel. Dinner and overnight in
Istanbul
Day 2.
Today we drive to Edirne, the
former Hadrianopolis. We visit the
famous Selimiye Mosque. This is
the masterpiece of architect Sinan.
In the center of the city we feel
after all these years the power of
the Ottomans. Kervansarai,
librarie, hamam and medrese are
still standing. Dinner and
overnight in Edirne
Day 3.
After breakfast we drive to Gelibolu. This city was the first European city of the Ottomans. We are
on the peninsula-long battle the Gallipoly War in 1915, 250,000 young people have been killed.
Turks, Australians and men from New Sealand are buried there . In the afternoon we cross over
the Dardanelles to the Asian side of Turkey. Dinner and overnight in Çanakkale
Day 4.
Today we drive to Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire. Ulu Camii (Big Mosque) and the
silk bazaar are worth to see. Bursa is the place of kebap and we will not miss it! After lunch we
visit the Green Mosque and the Green Tomb. Dinner and overnight in Bursa
Day 5.
Departure to the last capital of the Ottoman Empire Istanbul. Over the Bosphorus Bridge we
come to the European part of this huge city. After a typical turkish lunch we enjoy a wonderful
cruise on the Bosphorus. With this trip we sail along the most beautiful examples of Ottoman
palaces and villas. After the boat we walk to the Egyptian Bazaar, where you get time to shop.

Day 6.
Today we visit the Sultanahmet Mosque, known as the "Blue Mosque". Indeed, there are 23,000
blue tiles used for the interior. After a litlle walk we will come by the Topkapi Palace. It is an
adventure to be there and visit a lot of Ottoman rooms.The most famous room is of course the
room of treasury. Overlooking at the Bosphorus we enjoy our meal. In the Grand Bazaar we have

Day 7.
We start with the Dolmabahce Palace. The Bosphorus palace is the symbol of the power of the
Ottomans. It was build in the 19th century.We drive to the Taksim Square. Walking on the Istiklal
street we arrive at the old Galata Tower We will have a beautiful view over Istanbul. We have our
lunch with at the Galata Tower and after the lunch we walk to the second oldest subway in Europe.
By underground we descend to the Golden Horn. We take a look at the fishermen on the historical
Galata Bridge and arrive at the famous jewellery where we learn about the Ottoman art jewellery.

Day 8.
Transfer to the airport for the flight
