Theme: Harvest
Welcome Fall! Prepare for MORE RAIN!
HIGHLIGHTS OF NEXT WEEK:
We’ll spend our week reading
wonderful stories about orchards,
apples, pumpkins, and the harvest. In
reading, we will be starting our second
lesson and answering the question “Why do we have rules at school?”
We’ll continue with Letters Pp, Qq, Rr,
Ss, and Tt both in handwriting and
with sounds. In Math, we’ll finish our
chapter on shapes and begin Chapter
1 - Representing, counting, and writing
numbers 0-5. Please ask your child
each day for a report on our lessons.
Reminders: Tuesday, October 1st is
Picture Day. Students must wear
uniforms for this picture. They’ll be
able to dress-up for the Spring picture.

Cooking Project
“Name Cakes”
Volunteers Needed
I will be needing parent helpers to prepare
and manage our Learning Totes. Once up
and running, Learning Totes will go home
on Mondays and be checked in on Fridays.
This usually requires about 45 minutes
once you understand the process (which is
not complicated at all). If you are interested, please email me or send a note. I will
set up a schedule as soon as I can. Only
with your help can I run the program as I
believe it should be run. Thanks for
volunteering!
Needed: Empty cereal boxes, any
kind. We’ll be making books with
the fronts. Please send in one of
each different kind that you eat.
