Congratulations on an outstanding season and welcome to the 2017 Global Sports World
Series. Your World Series host will do everything possible to create an experience that
the players, coaches, and families will remember for a life time!
How to qualify:
Teams of ages 7 - 14 qualify to participate in a Global World Series by playing in a Global
World Series Qualifier & playing in their USSSA State Tournament. Teams must be
registered with USSSA and registered with Global Sports to participate in Global Sports
World Series Qualifiers. Team may register at www.usssa.com. Please check with your
USSSA State Director for qualifiers in your area.
How to enter a Global Sports World Series:
Teams playing in a Global Sports Qualifier and their USSSA State Tournament may
participate in any state's Global World Series. Teams must enter the Global Sports World
Series at www.usssa.com on a first come, first served basis so enter now. Teams that
qualify will not be assured a spot at a specific World Series location. Qualified teams may
enter multiple Global Sports World Series. Global Sports World Series entry is $695.

Arrangements can be made to enter by contacting the Tournament Director, Ken Dirks
(Team can mail check and be entered manually if you contact Tournament Director) Deadline to enter is: 7/9 or when full.

Global Sports World Series Format:
Open to all Classifications
Elite World Series qualified teams are ineligible to participate
Ages 7 - 14
Limited to 24 teams per age group
Pool play, bracket play and then into 3 final divisions
Teams will play an average of 7 games
Champions of the 3 divisions will be crowned Global Sports World Series Champion
Teams earn World Series USSSA Points
Pool Play:
All teams will play 4 games within pool play. After pool play is complete, teams
will be seeded 1 - 24 and placed into a championship bracket. Seeding for
championship play is based on USSSA pool play / tie breaker criteria.
Pool seeding is based on: 1) USSSA Classification, 2) USSSA Points,
3) Geographical location.
The tournament director has the final decision on seeding teams into pool play.

Global Sports World Series pool play and championship play format may vary
dependent on the number of teams participating in the event.
Global Sports World Series Rules:
Global Sports World Series will be governed by the USSSA National Baseball
Bylaws and Rules unless noted differently below.
USSSA Rosters will be the official roster at the GS World Series. Teams may
add two additional players to the official roster at check-in at the Global
Sports World Series.
USSSA Baseball reserves the right to alter, change, or abbreviate the
tournament format when necessary to complete the tournament due to
weather.
World Series Awards:
Team and individual awards will be presented to the champion and runner up of the Red,
White and Blue Championship Divisions.

Opening Ceremonies:
The USSSA Global World Series Opening Ceremonies will be held at Morrison Stadium on
the Creighton University Campus. Gates will open at 5:30, program will start at 6pm. Click

World Series Admission:
Admission during the World Series for persons 13 years of age and older will be $10 per
day or $30 per person for a World Series Pass. Children 6 - 12 years of age will be $6
per day or $20 per child for a World Series Pass. Children 5 years of age and younger
are admitted free. Admission applies to everyone except participating uniformed players
