As Geographers we will be able to locate the Aztec civilization
and describe the physical features of this area. We will learn
about how the climate lends itself to the growing of certain
crops and how foods such as chillies, chocolate, tomatoes and
tortillas come to our country. We will compare and contrast
Tenochtitlan with modern Mexico City and place Mexico City
in relation to Great Britain. We will be given opportunities to
ask geographical questions and use maps and plans. We will
draw plans and maps using a range of scales.

As Historians we will place events and people into correct
periods of time and use dates and vocabulary relating to the
passing of time, including the terms BC and AD. We will find
out about people from the past by looking at artefacts and

to answer questions and record our findings in a variety of
ways. We will find out about the rise and fall of the Aztec
civilization and become aware of the significant places and
