An Act to make further provision in relation to
certain land vested in the Royal Agricultural
Society of New South Wales as trustees
under the Public Trusts Act, 1897; for this
purpose to amend the Royal Agricultural
Society Act, 1911, and certain other Acts;
and for purposes connected therewith.

E it enacted b y t h e K i n g ' s Most Excellent Majesty,
b y a n d with t h e advice a n d consent of t h e Legis­
lative Council a n d Legislative Assembly of N e w South
Wales in P a r l i a m e n t assembled, a n d b y t h e a u t h o r i t y of
t h e same, as follows :—
1 . (1) This Act m a y be cited as the " R o y a l
A g r i c u l t u r a l Society ( A m e n d m e n t ) Act, 1 9 4 7 . "
(2) T h e Royal A g r i c u l t u r a l Society Act, 1911, as
a m e n d e d by this Act, may be cited as the Royal
A g r i c u l t u r a l Society Act, 1911-1947.
2 . T h e Royal
amended:—
Agricultural
Society
Act,
1911, is
( a ) (i) by i n s e r t i n g in section t h r e e after the words
" d e s c r i b e d i n " the w o r d s " P a r t One a n d
P a r t Two o f " ;
(ii) by i n s e r t i n g a t the end of the same section
the following new subsection:—
(2) A s from the commencement of the
Royal A g r i c u l t u r a l Society ( A m e n d m e n t )
Act, 1947, the e s t a t e in fee-simple of the
Royal A g r i c u l t u r a l Society of New S o u t h
W a l e s as t r u s t e e s of the land described in
P a r t T h r e e of the Schedule to this Act shall
cease
cease a n d d e t e r m i n e , a n d such l a n d shall,
subject to the conditions h e r e i n a f t e r in t h i s
A c t contained, v e s t in t h e R o y a l A g r i c u l ­
t u r a l Society of New S o u t h W a l e s f o r a n
e s t a t e in fee-simple, a n d a n y d e d i c a t i o n of
such l a n d or a n y p a r t thereof for public
r e c r e a t i o n a n d show g r o u n d or for show
g r o u n d ( a d d i t i o n ) or f o r a n y o t h e r p u r p o s e
is h e r e b y revoked.
(b) b y o m i t t i n g f r o m subsection one of section four
the w o r d s " t h e said l a n d " w h e r e firstly occur­
r i n g a n d by i n s e r t i n g in lieu thereof the w o r d s
" t h e l a n d described in P a r t One, P a r t Two a n d
P a r t T h r e e of the Schedule to t h i s A c t " ;
(c) by o m i t t i n g f r o m section five the w o r d s " t h e
said l a n d " w h e r e firstly o c c u r r i n g a n d by i n s e r t ­

All that piece or parcel of land containing an area of
2 acres 3 roods 22 perches or thereabouts situated in the
City of Sydney, parish of Alexandria, county of Cumber­
land, being allotments 16 to 24 both inclusive and 28 of
Section 111 and closed roads COMMENCING on the
North Western side of Cook Road at the North Eastern
corner of 1 acre 1 rood -1 perch vested in the Royal Agri­
cultural Society of New South Wales under the Royal
Agricultural Society Act 1911, and shown on plan cata­
logued Ms. 3281 Sy. at the Department of Lands Sydney
and bounded thence on the South East by Cook Road
bearing 22 degrees 113 feet 2 inches to Furber Lane on
the North East and again on the South East by Furber
Lane bearing 337 degrees 7 feet J inch 292 degrees
211 feet 2 | inches 313 degrees 17 minutes 21 feet 81 inches
37 degrees 8 minutes 140 feet 9 inches and thence 28
degrees 31 minutes 251 feet 7 / inches to another lane
again on the North East by that lane bearing 347 degrees
48 minutes 15 feet 2 inches and thence by that lane and
the end of Furber Road in all bearing 307 degrees 8
minutes 190 feet 7 / inches on the North West by part
of the South Eastern boundary of 2 acres vested in the
Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales under

the Royal Agricultural Society Act 1911 and shown on
plan catalogued Ms. 3012 Sy. at the Department of Lands
Sydney bearing 217 degrees 8 minutes 459 feet 6 inches
and on the South West by the North Eastern boundary
of the aforesaid 1 acre 1 rood 1 perch bearing 127 degrees
8 minutes 501 feet 4 inches to the point of commencement.
