the 2017
14th Annual
MHA Business summit
Dear MHA Member:
We are currently planning for the 2017 MHA Business Summit that will be taking place March
29-31 at Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Now in its 14th year, the MHA Business Summit continues to be the premier annual event
attended by long-term care pharmacy, home infusion, specialty pharmacy, home medical
equipment, and other providers in the alternate site health care market. It is again anticipated that the 2017 Business Summit will bring together more than 1,400 MHA members
and industry partners.
The 2017 MHA Business Summit promises to provide excellent education. We will focus on
those issues of greatest importance to our broad membership base, with 2017 being a particularly interesting year with the election of a new President and changes in Congress. These elections will result in an increased interest in new and pending federal and state legislation, potential
impact on the Affordable Care Act and existing health care delivery models, and other dynamics that
may result in significant challenges to alternate site health care providers.
Educational sessions will provide proactive strategies and methods to help ensure your success in the ever-changing health care
marketplace. Business Breakouts taking place March 29 will provide “hands on” information you can use in your day-to-day
business. Topics for the Business Breakouts will be announced in the coming months.
As in all previous MHA Business Summits, national, regional, and local thought-leaders will serve as faculty for each session.
These faculty members have extensive health care experience and knowledge to provide relevant information that is most
important for you today and in the future.
You have indicated that networking is an essential component of the meeting. Time will again be provided throughout the
schedule for interaction with MHA members and industry partners.
Remember to keep your schedule open on Thursday night, March 30, for the MHA Networking Event that will take place at a
special location in Bellagio.
We hope you will join us for what promises to be a very important industry meeting!
Sincerely,
Michael J. Sicilian

• Describe the changing roles and responsibilities of long-term care, home infusion, and
specialty pharmacies within their respective care settings
• Define strategies that can be used by long-term care, home infusion, and specialty
pharmacies to stay financially viable
• Examine methods that participants can use to establish strategies and better understand
emerging models in alternate site pharmacy
Continuing Education
Continuing pharmacy education credits will be provided by the New Jersey
Society of Health-System Pharmacists. The New Jersey Society of
Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for
Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
All pharmacists requesting pharmacy continuing education credit will be required to register
with CPE Monitor and have a unique pharmacist identifier number for each continuing
education activity that is completed. For more information on CPE Monitor and to apply
