A company is built on tradition. A
three generation family business
with over 75 years of experience,
dedicated to keeping metals clean
and polished. Briteworks
refinishing team is currently made
up of Richard A. Nass and his
three son's Lancing, Nathan, and
Michael, all experts in the
metalloligy field by trade.
80 years ago
Almost 80 years ago in the mid
1920's Gene (Richard's father)
designed, built and serviced
several large bank chains vaults,
vault doors, safty deposit boxes
and other banking equipment.
Since then many of the family
secrets in the area of metal
restauration have dated back to this
era. Richard started working in this
trade in the late 1940's when he

Richard, Lancing, Nathan and Michael
early twenties he attended Bradly,
a prestigious jewlers-, art- and
watchmaking university in Peoria,
Illinois.
Born into the company
Lost art
After graduating, among the
already many skills his father
passed on to him, Along with
several years of jewlers and
watchmaking courses he learned
what is now the lost art of
handengraving. Then in 1970
Richard chose his career where his
father left off, starting his own
business in the banking industry.
Lancing, Nathan and Michael started working in the business in the
early 1980's. In 1986 the family decided to switch their main market
from the bank's to the hotel industry, servicing several large hotel
chains in the metal maintenance arena. The family has also worked in
the art field over the last 80 years restauring several sculptures and
large statues around the United States. All of the specialized
professional work performed in this century has made them superior
metalloligist and top notch artisian consultants in many commercial
and artistic fields.

of professionals which offer a wide
range of services. The largest
service base our company provides
is found in the task of restoring
both exterior and interior metals.
This takes not only vast amounts
of time but also a tremendous
amount of skill, patience, and
experience to work metal up to a
final and lasting finish.
Artisians
As craftsman and artisians, the
goal is to accomplish high quality
results. In order for this to happen
here is a number of our company's
strong points. We transport our
portable shop to the jobsite
wherever that may be, and perform
hands on restoration. Several
techniques are applied that range
from the use of hand to large
power tools and buffing
equipment. Our finishing
method is only "DRY" using
various polishing abrasives to
achieve oxidation removal,
eliminating most of the scratches
and pits, then applying a reflective,
metallic finish.
Special laquer
After we finish restoring the metal
we choose to hand brush two or
more coats of specially designed
exterior and interior clear aquers,
(equal to 10 or 12 spray coats).
This technique seals off the the
polished metal surfaces for a
lasting and protective finish. This
special laquer is designed to
expand and contract with severe
changes in temperatures, which
will not peel, chip, or crack off the
metal surface.
20 Years
You will find that most of our
finishes last up to 20 years,
(depending on the variables
involved) if the metal is not in a
high traffic area. Our whole
operation is fairly clean, with low
noise level, little or no toxic
strippers or strong chemical odors
that circulate throughout the
jobsite.
Dry method
We ultimately use the "DRY"
method, reducing the chances of
contamination in the pores of the
metal before the laquering process
is complete. Being such that this
type of work can be so physically
demanding and the end results so
hard and long, only the best
equipment, materials and supplies,
not to mention methods and
procedures are adopted in the use
of these restoration endeavors.

working directly with you and
your company, we would have

BRITEWORKS METAL POLISH
¥Removes rust, tarnish and stains.
¥Harmless to skin and clothing.
¥Quick results without hard rubbing.
¥Does not contaminate metal with heavy acid base.
¥No harsh abrasives -will not scratch smooth surfaces.
¥Less rubbing using pre-soaking methods.

¥You can clean and polish all metals twice as fast using less polish.
¥Briteworks metal polish will draw out acid and other contaminates
from the pores of the metal left from previous cleaners.
¥This polish is not flammable and will not ignite under open flame.
¥This polish is not hazardous and does not have to be shipped under
a hazardous label.
¥NOTE: this product will not remove pits or scratches!!!

¥Regular use eliminates constant claning and polishing.>

¥Non greasy, non staning, invisible shield.
¥Does not attract dust or dirt.
¥Easy to wipe on -- needs no rubbing.
¥Absorbs and reduces the apparence of fingerprints.
¥Each fresh application removes the prior one.
¥Cleans, but does not break down laqured finishes.
¥Used on a regular basis it will reduce future cleaning and polishing.
¥Leaves metal bright and clean with a protective inviseble shield that
cannot be detected by the eye or noticeable to the touch.
