Winter 2015 - Bridge Credit Union

Winter 2015 Newsletter
HOME SWEET HOME
Bridge believes in expanding the dreams of home ownership to
as many of our members as possible.
FIRST MORTGAGES
Buying a home should be an exciting experience and obtaining a loan
should be hassle-free. We’ve made it simple for you by offering a wide
variety of products for almost everyone.
HOME EQUITY
Equity in a home has traditionally been the biggest source of personal
wealth. Low cost borrowing against a home’s equity can offer a good
solution for funding high cost items. Borrow against your home’s
equity through a fixed amount, fixed rate or a line of credit, variable
rate product. There are no prepayment penalties, whichever you
choose.

Help Set Bridge’s Vision
BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION
One of the many benefits of credit union membership
is that we don’t have stockholders to pay. Instead, a
volunteer Board of Directors governs the credit union and
they represent the needs of the membership and provide
vision and direction for the credit union. As part of this
special democracy, YOU get a voice in your credit union.
There are three (3) vacancies for the three (3) year terms
on the Board of Directors of Bridge Credit Union, Inc.
Candidates’ biographies are below for your review. We also
attached a paper ballot for your convenience.
Ballots can be delivered to the Credit Union in many ways:
submitted to your local Credit Union Representative, faxed
to 614.728.8090, emailed to [email protected],
sent through the State Interoffice mail, or mailed directly
to the Credit Union at: Bridge Credit Union, 1980 W. Broad
Street, Mail Stop #0000, Columbus, OH 43223.
2016 Candidate Bios
MATT
SUSAN
CORLETT
GRUNDEY
I have served the
Ohio Department
of Public Safety
in a variety of
roles for almost
17 years, currently
as chief of the
Budget Management Section.
Previous roles include almost 4 years
as the assistant chief of the Revenue
Management Section, 3 years
performing financial reporting and
budget analysis, and 4 years as an
internal auditor. I have also worked
in purchasing, accounts/payable, and
payroll. I have a bachelor’s degree in
business administration from Mount
Vernon Nazarene University.
I retired from the
State of Ohio with
31 years of service
in the field of
Human Resources.
The majority
of my career
was spent working at the Ohio
Department of Transportation.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in
Human Resource Management and
Business Administration from Franklin
University. I am certified by the Society
of Human Resource Management as a
SHRM Senior Certified Professional.
I have enjoyed serving on the
Bridge Credit Union board since
January 2012. In the early 2000’s,
I volunteered in various roles with
another credit union for 5 years.
That experience and my professional
roles in accounting and auditing
provide a valuable background. Just
as important, Bridge Credit Union is
my family’s primary financial services
provider and its continued success
matters to me personally. It is truly
a privilege to be trusted with this
role by the membership, and I look
forward to continuing to help lead the
credit union into the opportunities
ahead.
I have served as the Vice-President
of Bridge Credit Union Board of
Directors for several years. I believe
my knowledge of human resources has
added value to the board. These are
exciting times for the credit union as
we have changed our name, expanded
our field of membership and have
increased services to our members.
I will do my best to continue to keep
the best interest of all our members in
mind as we move forward.

BENITA
NEELY
I have been a
Board Member for
Bridge since 2011
and a member of
the Credit Union
since 2001. Over
the years Bridge
has served me and my family well
and it is my hope that I can continue
to represent its members.
My career at the Ohio Department
of Youth Services (ODYS) started in
1997. Over the years at ODYS, I have
served in various positions in Human
Resources to include recruitment,
hiring, training and policy writing.
The skills gained at ODYS, as
well as my academic career, have
allowed me to confidently serve the
members of Bridge. I earned a B.S. in
Chemistry from Denison University.
My graduate studies include a M.A.
in Sociology and Master of Social
Work both from The Ohio State
University.
I am an advocate for credit unions
because they offer the same
services through a cooperative
philosophy. Bridge is responsive
to its members’ unique needs
because the focus is on both the
member and the community.
Bridge continues to invest in its
members and community through
education, volunteerism, and social
responsibility. Our credit union has
a solid financial future, and I am
honored to be a part of its growing
role in the State of Ohio.
