Company Background : Jet Airways was incorporated in 1992 and
commenced operations as an Air Taxi Operator in 1993. Later in 1995, Jet
Airways was granted scheduled airline status. The company is active in both
domestic and international connecting 66 destinations which include 18
international destinations. Jet Airways operates over 1,900 flights week to major
cities of the world. Further, company has 89 aircraft, consisting of Boeing 737s,
eight ATR-72 500s, three Airbus 340-300Es and one Airbus 330-200. Company
also operates through its subsidiaries which include Jet Lite (India) Limited,
Jetair Private Limited, Jet Airways LLC, Trans Continental e Services Private
Limited, Jet Enterprises Private Limited, Jet Airways of India Inc., India Jet
airways Pty Limited and Jet Airways Europe Services N.V. The shareholding
pattern as on 30/06/2016 were as follows: Promoters held 51.00%, Institutional
investors held 37.25%, General Public held 7.47% and Others held 4.29%.
