THE TIGER
The tiger is a member of the Felide family. It is the largest
animal of the category. The tiger is from eastern and southem
Asia. It used to live across Asia, from west Turkey to the eastern
coast of Asia. It is an apex carnivorous predator. The Tiger can
reach up to 3.3 metres. It has exceptionally stout teeth, and its
canines are the longest among living felids. Its crown can be
74.5 mm long (2.93 in) and even 90 mm long (total length). It
can weigh up to 300 kilograms. The tiger's coat is from light
yellow to dark orange with black stripes. The coat is creamy
white on the inside of the limbs, chest, throat and cheeks,
lower jaw and above the eyes .
The tiger is a
predator
twilight: they
mostly hunt at
sunrise and at
the end of the
day, but may
also hunt during
the day . He
locates its prey
without using
his sense of
smell.
The tiger eats only meat and is a carnivore. Its main preys are of
average weight (from fifty to two hundred kilograms), it attacks mainly
wild boars and deers.
