“The Dermaroller is studded with 192 very fine micro needles that create little channels in the top layer of skin, allowing serums to penetrate up
to 200 times more effectively. Our skin has a very effective barrier for preventing absorption of many products; this barrier is also there to
protect against environmental influences, irritants and bacteria. The Dermaroller bypasses this barrier by creating micro channels into the
epidermis, allowing the delivery of key ingredients. The idea is to apply the serum first and use the Dermaroller to manually drive the
ingredients into the skin. These little channels stay open for several minutes allowing enough time for the ingredients to absorb.”
Tips for Using the Dermaroller effectively:
- Before going to bed roll each part of the skin three times in four directions: horizontally, vertically and on both diagonals for two to five
minutes, then apply the recommended moisturiser.

Smokey eyes
have been a
big style for quite a long time and there's
no sign this particular trend is dying. Here
we show you step-by-step instructions on
how to get the perfect smokey eye.
The key to the perfect smokey eye is
proper blending. You want to make sure
colours are blended together flawlessly.
Also, it's important to pair light base
colours with rich dark colours.
Nice mixes include: Soft gold base with
deep purple on top, champagne base with
bright blue and peach base with green
hue.

Apply eyeliner. If you're going for a
typical black, brown or gray smokey
eye, apply liner in one of those
colours above the upper lash line,
drawing line thicker in the middle of
eye. If you're opting for a
jewel-toned eye (violet makes a
gorgeous smoky eye), line eyes with
a purple, blue or deep green liner.
Also the FDC eyeliners are the
softest pencil eyeliners I have come
across, they work great for the
smokey eye.
Here's How:
Prepare the lid. The key to keeping
eyeshadow from melting into your
eyelid crease as the day goes on is
to kept eyelids oil-free. To do this
start with an eyeshadow base (also
called "primer"). Simply swipe the
primer across the eye and let it dry
before you continue to the next
step.
Some great primers we use for a
smokey eye include BABOR FDC
Advance Eye Shadow Base and
Blend in colour on bottom lashes for
colour on the bottom (a key smokey
eye look) you'll want to use an
eyeliner pencil because they're
easiest to smudge. Once the line is
drawn, run your finger over it or use
the soft sponge end of the eyeliner
pencil to smudge the line. You can
also apply a bit of shadow to get a
full smudge effect.
Apply light base colour Again, the key
to a smokey eye is pairing a lighter
base with the darker hue. I prefer a
nice cream shade for my base.
Sweep a light, shimmery shadow
over the lids to your brow bone.
Blend in darker colour, but keep
dark colour below the crease.
Now that you have the base and
eyeliner on, it's time to get the
smokey effect. You need a darker
eyeshadow shade. Using an
eyeshadow brush blend in colour
starting at your lash line, blending
up. Make sure to blend colour into
the lash line so the eye liner
disappears. Stop deep colour at
crease. You can create the look as
dark as you like the key here is to
blend, blend, blend.

Our Story
Over the years I have experimented with different cosmetic mediums and bases with the aim of achieving remedial effects for
clients who suffered from acne or other skin anomalies. In the early years when I was a clinic owner I would often mix and
match multiple cosmetics products and brands with other makeup ingredients in order to achieve a natural effect.
However when it came to recommending a specific makeup brand for my clients, I had nothing to offer them except to suggest
water-based cosmetics or products that were low on mineral oils. It is exceedingly difficult to find cosmetic products that aren’t
harmful or damaging to the skin or that work against skin revision theory and practice.
This line of reasoning prompted me to consider developing my own range of cosmetics. As cosmetics and skin care are often
considered to be two different business arenas, I put my cosmetics dream on the back burner for another day. I’m thrilled to
announce that day has come.
Drawing on the experience of cosmetic industry great Tommy Parsons, Managing Director for DMK Cosmetics, DMK has now
developed their own cosmetic range.
It’s truly amazing what one can achieve when you start with the best people in the industry.
While at my age I should probably be looking down the road to retirement, I am proud to say that I have instead decided to set
myself to the task of creating a cosmetics range that is truly of the highest calibre. To be able to say that with conviction gives
me the thrill of a lifetime.
