ATLANTA – The Celtic Company will present Celtic Christmas: Music, Dance and the Soul of
the Season! on December 20 and 21, 2014 at the Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State
University. This family-friendly event will celebrate the solstice season with performances by
fiddlers, dancers, harpers, singers, Highland pipers, and bards from the Irish, Scottish, Welsh
and Appalachian traditions. Tickets are $25.00-$65.00, and are available online at
RIALTOCENTER.ORG or by calling 404.413.9849. Tickets for children 14 and younger are halfprice.
This warm and soulful experience that Atlanta audiences have grown to know and love will
feature fiddle/vocal sensation Leah Calvert, Grammy-nominated Irish singer/guitarist John
Doyle, Scottish fiddler Jamie Laval, and fiddler/percussionist Joe Craven. Atlanta-audience
favorites include The Buddy O'Reilly Band, the sweetly harmonizing vocal/fiddle trio The Rosin
Sisters, Celtic/Welsh triple harpist Kelly Stewart, The Glencoe Scottish Highland Dancers, The
Burke Connolly Academy of Irish Dance, The Atlanta Junior Ceili Band, Highland pipers Henry
Frantz and John Recknagel, Highland drummers Fran Frantz and Troy Weber, vocalist Whit
Connah, Appalachian “flat foot” clogger Jesse Edgerton, and Atlanta-based theater group, Arís.
