Activities for Protecting Bountiful Sea and the Environment
Miscellaneous drainage was flowed from
upstream household therefore sludge
and foul odor were spread at the river
mouth.
Volunteers from fishermen’s union and
people in Itoman-city have been trying to
purify the bay area using EM Technology
since Oct 2004.
Before EM application - Oct 2004
People were gathered at the bountiful sea contest
to make EM mud balls, which were applied in
the river.

Activated EM1 (1ton/week) and EM mud balls (3,000 balls/month) were applied since
the last contest to conserve the marine resources and environment….
Over time, activated EM1 were flow to
the river mouth…

accumulated…

As a result - 6 month after
……
EM mud ball accelerates decompose the
accumulated sludge slowly but surely!!
Sludge at the river mouth and foul odor were reduced. And even sand area appears at
low tide.
Further, seashells and crabs,
which have not been seen
for a long time, are now
increasing again!!!
