Facility:
NMB Aquatic and Fitness Center, 1100 Second Ave, North Myrtle Beach, SC. Indoor 8-lane 25yard pool with 6” Competitor non-turbulent lane lines, bottom striped and wall targets, 4-lane, 25yard warm-up pool. Colorado Timing Systems electronic timing and display board will be used.
The water depth is 10 feet, measured from 1 to 5 meters on the starting end of the course and 5 feet,
measured from 1 to 5meters at the turn end of the course. On deck seating will be available for
athletes and coaches. All areas other than spectator seating and pool facility are off-limits.
Concessions will be available – coolers may not be brought into the spectator area. The
competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2c(4).
Rules:
Meet to be conducted in accordance with the current USA Swimming and SC Swimming Rules and
Regulations and information herein. Coaches must have present current credentials to pick up
coaches packets. Credentials to be displayed by coaches while on pool deck.

Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas,
rest rooms or locker rooms.
Open to all swimmers and teams who are current registered members of USA Swimming in good
standing. Swimmer swims their age as of the first day of the meet. Any swimmer entered in the
meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach must be certified by a USA Swimming
member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within
the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure
compliance with this requirement.
$4.00 per individual event. $7.00 per individual Time Trial. $10.00 per swimmer pool charge.
$2.00 per swimmer SCLSC Travel Fund/Program Fee. $2.00 SCLSC Sports Development Fee.
$2.00 per non-SCS swimmer out-of-state Travel Fund/Program Fee. Entry fees are nonrefundable. The Clerk of Course will close 20 minutes before the start of the competition of
each session. Late entries will be accepted at the discretion of the meet director or meet referee at
double the cost of the event fee, BUT not after the close of Clerk of Course. Payment for late
entries is due before the conclusion of the meet. No new heats will be created. Swimmers
entering the meet late are subject to all surcharges and must prove they’re registered at time of
entry deadline. Swimmers may swim up to 4 events per day. This meet will be limited to the
first 300 swimmers entered and/or timeline considerations. $13.00 per swimmer WOW Surcharge.
Meet Format:
This meet is Timed Finals. Meet Director reserves the right to adjust warm-up and competition
times and sessions as necessary.
The Clerk of Course will close 20 minutes before the start of the competition of each session.

 All events 200 yards and longer are Positive Check-in and will be swum
SLOWEST to FASTEST;
 Swimmers competing in any Time Trial MUST provide their own
TIMER and COUNTER (if necessary);
 Events 400 IM, 1000 free and 500 free will be swum as COMBINED
SEX events;
 Saturday Time Trials will begin with Sunday’s events plus 1000 free,
then additional requests;
 Sunday’s Time Trials will begin with Saturday’s events plus 1650 free,
followed by additional requests.
Meet Director reserves right to adjust times as necessary.

Teams will be assigned lanes and sessions for all warm-ups. Meet director reserves right to adjust
times and/or create new sessions as needed to run an efficient meet.

All events will be Timed Finals.
Hy-Tek Meet Manager software will be used. All entries MUST be submitted on Hy-Tek or
similar software. All entries must include hardcopy, meet reconciliation form and check for fees.
Entries will not be considered official until hardcopy, meet recon form and check are
received. Teams not using Hy-Tek or similar entry software will be charged an additional $10 per
swimmer. SC Swimming does not accept deck registrations, all swimmers entered must be
registered at time of entry deadline.

Ribbons for each age-group places 1st-6th.
Colorado Timing Systems electronic timing and display board will be used.
Coaches must be coach members of USA Swimming and they must have their credentials visible at
all times.

Information:
Time Trials will be held at the discretion of the Meet Referee with timeline being the primary
consideration. Time Trials, if held, will begin not less than 30 minutes following the completion of
each session. Clerk of Course will remain open FOR TIME TRIALS ONLY until the
completion of the primary session.
Teams will be assigned lanes and times for specific warm-ups. Notice will be distributed to all
teams and posted at www.TeamRiptides.com 2-3 days prior to first day of the meet.
As per USA-S rules, only swimmers, coaches, officials and other meet personnel are permitted on
the pool deck at any time. All coaches must be members in good standing with USA-S and present
credentials to receive coaching packet.
Volunteer certified officials are welcome and encouraged to assist with the meet. Please contact
James Smith if interested in officiating.
Hospitality will be available for coaches, officials, and meet personnel.
