Just a few reminders about the garage…
1: You do not need to use your remote button to get out of the garage, just
drive towards the door and it will open.
2: Please remember only one car should go out each time the garage door
opens
3: Please wait in the driveway after you exit the garage to ensure that the
garage door has closed!

Recycling bins are located in the garage and all recyclables can be
placed in the green bin with the yellow lid. Please make sure that when
you are putting trash down the chute that the bags are tied and that all
trash is placed into a bag prior dropping in the chute. Un-bagged trash
blows around when it is dumped out by Waste Management. Bagging all
trash will ensure that we are keeping our community clean inside and
out.

Thursday October 1st Minute To Win It at 10:00 AM Join us on the patio
for a variety of games of skill from the popular game show Minute To Win It!
This will be a very fun event! See you there!
Friday October 2nd 10:00 AM: Spa Day: Village North : Come pamper yourself and relax with manicures, foot soaking and creating your own bath salt to
take home
Friday October 2nd 2:30 PM Chopped Competition: Patio : Come watch
staff compete in a healthy cooking competition , sample their dishes and choose
the Chopped Champion!
Monday October 5th Tech & Coffee at 3:00 PM Castle Café. Come learn
how to use your tech devices, phones, laptops, tablets etc.

Tuesday October 6th Oktoberfest 3:00 PM on the Patio ,weather permitting
otherwise we will be in the dining room. Join us at 3 for beer samples and live
music from Rod Cerar followed by a German themed dinner at 4:00. Dinner is
the cost of a meal ticket. Guests are invited to attend this event.
Tuesday October 13th Pine Tree Apple Orchard at 1:30 PM we will hop
on the bus and head over to Pine Tree Apple Orchard. Please sign up in the activity book in Village North
Wednesday October 21st Potluck Dinner at 4:000 PM we will once again
have a Potluck dinner. Let’s meet at 4 for drinks ,BYOB, and then dinner will
start around 5:00 PM Bring a dish to share! Please sign up in the Van Book in
Village North if you plan to attend and what you are bringing. Activity Dept. will
provide plates, napkins and silverware.
Thursday October 22nd Mystic Lake Casino at 9:30 AM we will hop on the
bus and head to Mystic Lake Casino. Please sign up space on the bus is limited!
Tuesday October 27th Monthly Birthday Party featuring live music from
Mary Hall at 3:00 PM in the dining room. Please join us for refreshments as
we celebrate October Birthdays!
Wednesday October 28th Chili Cook Off at 11:30 AM in the Dining Room:
Join us for Polar Ridge’s first chili cook off, staff, residents and family can enter,
bring your best chili recipe, and compete for the win. We will have guest judges!
More details soon!
Friday October 30th Halloween Party and Costume Contest at 2:00 PM
in the dining room. Come celebrate Halloween w/ games, food, fun & a costume
contest!

Hello everyone,
The new Fall/Winter menus are starting up. We have also changed some our Breakfast Specials
around to bring some new ideas and suggestions into the dinning room. I hope you enjoy the
new and fun changes.
I also want to remind you. If you plan to have guests at a meal; please let the dietary staff
know ahead of time so we can make sure we prepare enough food. And also, to let us know if
you know you will be out for a meal. We just want to make sure everyone gets fed and that we
are not missing anyone!
