PEO Event: Catapult
Event Structure:
Description
Teams will design, build, and test a free standing catapult using a limited amount of materials (to be

that may be helpful in order to prepare for the event:
Preparation:
1. How a catapult works (fulcrum, levers, load, forces, elastic energy)
2. Principles of Projectile Motion
3. Be prepared to accurately and quickly draw designs, select materials, and implement design
4. Understand structural strength and stability
