GROUP CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
NON-FEE Group Classes
Barre Fitness
Our Barre Fitness class is inspired by ballet, yoga and Pilates. Exercises
performed will focus on isometric strength training in combination with high
repetition of small range of motion movements. Great for all levels and ages.
Bend/Balance/Breathe
This class begins with a full body warm up, followed by flowing sequences. In
each class, students will be guided through poses designed to strengthen the
core, which protects the spine and develops flexibility through the 4 movements.
Boot Camp
Indoor/Outdoor training focused on developing your strength, muscular definition
and stamina. Exercises include push-ups, running, cardio circuit training and
muscle fatigue lifting. Class routine is altered weekly to help promote weight loss
and achieve a full body workout.
Cycle
45 minutes of a high intensity aerobics workout on a stationary bike. Our high
tech Keiser bikes enable you to track your rpms, watts, calories and heart rate all
while enjoying great music or a DVD road ride. All classes are self-paced so all
levels of riders are welcome.
Cycle-Circuit
30 minutes of cycle followed by 15 minutes of dumbbells and core exercises.
Cycle and Core
Our standard Cycle class followed by 15 minutes of core work.
Cycle-Total Body Spin
Our standard Cycle class that utilizes some dumbbells on and off the bike.
Cycle-Yoga
This class starts with 1/2 hour of a high intensity aerobics workout on a stationary
bike. Our high tech Keiser bikes enable you to track your rpms, watts, calories
and heart rate all while enjoying great music or a DVD road ride. You’ll then do
1/2 hour of pranayama (breathing exercise) and moving into yoga asana
(exercises), blending breath, movement and focus to energize the body and
strengthen the glandular and immune systems while developing flexibility and
cover strength. This class closes with a time for relaxation and rejuvenation.
This practice is useful for achieving emotional well-being and stress relief. All
classes are self-paced so all levels of riders are welcome.
Cardio Combo
This class is a high-intensity low-impact step aerobics class that will burn fat and
calories! We use weights, balls and bands to energize and motivate you to
continue a fitness program for life! This class will focus on using your core for the
entire hour!
Essentrics
An exercise technique that focuses on simultaneously lengthening and
strengthening every muscle in the body, resulting in greater joint mobility and
lean, long muscles.
Fit Ball
This is a total body workout. It begins with a warm up and stretches. There is
30 minutes of low-impact cardio routines incorporating the fit/stability ball.
Integrating the fit/stability ball into the cardio component provides a fabulous
heart pumping workout and upper body as well as core strengthening.
20 minutes is dedicated to strengthening and toning major muscle groups using
the fit/stability ball and dumbbells. The class will finish with an intense
core-strengthening component and finish with a final stretch.

Fit Body
Aerobics based workout that incorporates body weight resistance and stretching
to tone and strengthen the body.
Fit For Life
This is a modified circuit workout designed for ALL our members. After a group
warm-up session, participants rotate through various stations designed for
stability, balance and strength. You are able to adjust the intensity level to fit your
fitness level and modifications are available to accommodate most pre-existing
conditions.
Intensity
The name says it all. If you are ready for a high intense workout, this class is for
you. It is sure to burn massive calories working your entire body using high
cardio moves along with strength training. A common structure of the class is
combining kick-boxing, plyometrics, step, running and weight training. Weather
permitting, we will conduct class outside using stadium stairs, sprints on the
tennis courts, the famous World of Tennis hill, and much more.
Pump It Up
This is a cardio, intensity, and full body workout class. We use the step for
intervals, body bars and various weights for resistance training.
Strength &
Conditioning
Incorporates strength exercises with body bars and dumbbells for upper and
lower body. The weight training is supplemented with core movements on the
mats and fit/stability balls. Cardiovascular intervals and active recovery is used to
enhance the intensity of the class.
Strength/Length
This class starts out with a warm-up, then a variety of stretches. The stretches
then flow into sustained poses, some core strengthening and ends with relaxing
meditation.
Total Workout & Abs
If you are looking for a class where you can get a total body workout and never
are bored, this is the class for you. “Total Workout” uses strength training, step,
kick-boxing and lots of fitness tools such as body bars, balls and bands to get you
in the shape you want.
Walk 2-B-Fit (Outside)
! SEASONAL ! This walking class will work all facets of fitness; cardiovascular
endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance and flexibility. It is suitable
for all fitness levels. Walking or cross-training sneakers are needed for this class.
Water Aerobics
! SEASONAL ! This high-intensity aqua class is a head-to-toe splash workout.
This class combines 30 minutes of non-impact water workout to increase
cardiovascular endurance with 30 minutes muscular strength and conditioning.
This class is suitable for all fitness levels. Bring a small and large size noodle
and a towel. This class is included in most memberships.
WERQ-Tone
Want to add a new “twist” to your exercise routine? This fun-filled dance class
will teach you a couple of new dance “moves” each week and then play great
music to let you perfect them or just let you dance your way into sweaty frenzy.
This very informal class is open to individuals and couples alike and is sure to be
a hit for anyone that likes to dance (but may or may not be good at it) all in the
comfort of your gym clothes and at your home club.

Yoga
Modifications and adaptations are provided in these classes emphasizing the
function of each asana (pose) over the form. Through the time-tested practice of
yoga, you’ll begin to move with greater fluidity, ease, flexibility, grace and
authenticity.
Yoga-Hatha Flow
This class begins with the practice of pranayama (breathing exercises), which
help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual
practices such as meditation, and moves into yoga asana (yoga postures and
exercises).
Yoga-Power Core
This class begins with a pranayama (breathing exercise) and moves into yoga
asana (exercises), blending breath, movement and focus to energize the body
and strengthen the glandular and immune systems while developing flexibility and
cover strength. Classes are closed with a time for relaxation and rejuvenation.
This practice is useful for achieving emotional well-being and stress relief.
Beginners are welcome.
Yoga-Vinyasa
Viniyoga (Vinyasa Yoga) is a highly specialized form of Hatha Yoga that adapts
the various yoga techniques to the unique needs of the individual in a private
session or to the safe and effective parameters and needs of a group. It is
appropriate for beginners, those wanting a gentler pace, and those with a minor
limitations (sore back, shoulders, knees, etc.). The Viniyoga practice may include
adapted gentle or dynamic postures, breath work, sound, and relaxation or
guided meditation.
