CLOTHING/CLIMATE
Temperatures for Canada in August average in the 70s with cooler evenings. Pack for a variety of temperatures. Casual clothes that can be layered work
best. Comfortable walking shoes and a small umbrella are recommended.

Wednesday, August 2: Victoria tour & Vancouver
Enjoy a stop at world-renowned Butchart Gardens, where you will have free time to explore the 50-acre display of magnificent color
and floral arrangements. Continuing onto the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal, board your B.C. Ferry for a 90-minute cruise across the Strait of
Georgia back to the mainland. Hotel: Vancouver Fairmont Hotel, Vancouver (Breakfast)
Thursday, August 3: Vancouver City Tour
Today explore Vancouver’s sights, sounds and spectacular scenery. The tour will take you through Gastown and North America’s second
largest Chinatown. Visit the world famous 1,000-acre Stanley Park and stop at the Totem Poles and Prospect Point, which offers a
spectacular view of Lions Gate Bridge. Tour along English Bay Beach to Granville Island. This stop offers a cultural mixture of galleries,

Friday, August 4: Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. On
today’s journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley, through forests and winding
river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the BC interior. Highlights
include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Your day
concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake into Kamloops. Hotel: Hotel FIVE 540 FORTY, Kamloops

Saturday, August 5: Rocky Mountaineer - Kamloops to Jasper
Your journey continues north and east to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will be surrounded
by dramatic scenery as you follow the banks of the North Thompson River through the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains, climbing
ever nearer to the high peaks of the Continental Divide. Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, at 12,972 feet, the highest peak in the
Canadian Rockies, Pyramid Falls, and the climb over the Yellowhead Pass into Jasper National Park. Your rail journey ends this evening on
arrival in the resort town of Jasper. Hotel: Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Jasper (Breakfast, Lunch)
Sunday, August 6: Jasper
Jasper National Park is a World Heritage Site and Canada’s largest National Park. Today you will enjoy a scenic tour of some of the park’s
natural attractions, rugged peaks, and perhaps catch a glimpse of the wildlife that calls this region home. The remainder of the day is free
for you to explore more of Jasper independently. (Breakfast, Cocktail Reception)
Monday, August 7: Jasper & Lake Louise
Today you will travel south and enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Jasper and Banff National Parks via the magnificent Icefields Parkway.
Among the highlights are Bow Lake, the Columbia Icefields and the Athabasca Falls. The Icefield is one of the largest accumulations of
ice, south of the Arctic Circle as well as being one of the most accessible in North America. It is here you will ride a unique Ice Explorer on
the Athabasca Glacier and learn more about its geological features. Time will be provided for lunch on your own. Afterwards, a brief stop
at Bow Lake before arriving in Lake Louise in the late afternoon. Hotel: Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Lake Louise (Breakfast)

Enjoy a free day in Lake Louise. Local activities include canoeing, hiking in the mountains or simply relaxing and taking in the

Board your motorcoach for a sightseeing tour through Yoho National Park to view some of its magnificent natural wonders en route to
Banff. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River.

Board your private motorcoach for a sightseeing tour of Banff. Highlights include the Hoodoos rock formations, Surprise Corner and
