Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna Vascular Surgery S Orsola Hospital Anaconda ™ SUMMIT Royal Hotel Carlton Giove Room Bologna 9 July, 2011 M .C re s pi© The use of endoprostheses for the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms has been very popular in recent years. The mid-term results are now being evaluated in some multicentre studies. The endovascular procedure can be said to remain the most extensively used method. Anaconda™ has been available in the stent graft market for several years now. Anaconda SUM MIT 2 The interest this device has generated is undoubtedly a result of its unique technical and structural characteristics linked with a number of positive findings in published clinical papers. This has led us to propose an International Summit in order to discuss the current status and future development of this AAA stent graft system. What we believe will emerge from this meeting is that both assessment and feedback are crucial to the ongoing development and success of the device. The programme will feature discussions on several clinical cases and we will review the status of a European Registry. The summit will therefore provide an invaluable opportunity to get together to discuss our collective experiences with the implantation of this unique and innovative aortic endoprosthesis.
