Spanish II Final Project: ¿Quién Soy Yo?

Spanish II Final Project: ¿Quién Soy Yo? (el título del proyecto)
You will create a slide presentation about you! This guide details the information you must
include. YOU decide how you want your final project to look. Students have created books in
past semesters, but this semester students will be required to prepare a computer-based
presentation. (Computer access will be addressed alter the description.) The format is the
ONLY difference. Your project should be neat, appropriately organized, and demonstrative of
your highest abilities. Make sure that you cover each of the following topics WITH THE
APPROPRIATE NUMBER OF SLIDES for each section. Pictures and writing are expected on
each slide. Some slides require audio and/or video narration. Please guard this guide and your
grading rubric with your life, as it is worth 5 points on your final project grade. You will hand
this to your teacher along with a rewritable CD marked with your name that contains your
project.
All writing must be SPANISH, no espanglés and no “English”.

write the dedication in English. Make it meaningful and appropriate. Pictures are OK.
Each week, students will have access to a computer for 45 minutes, specifically for working on
this final project. Students should seek computer access outside of class (before or after school,
at a friend’s or relative’s home, public library) if they want extra time for project preparation.
Students will receive instruction on audio recording and creating slideshow presentations. A
color scanner is available at school to students who wish to scan appropriate pictures for project

Due Date: _________________________ before the start of class
For each DAY your project is late for whatever reason, you lose 10 points per day.
If you use any online translator, such as translation.com, or any computer translation software
LIKE IT, I will deduct an automatic 25 points, and start grading from there.
There should be no more than 1 word per 2 slides that you looked up in a SPANISHENGLISH DICTIONARY. Use your vocabulary words from class. You should not use any
other source (i.e. online or software translation programs) for looking up words. –2 points/word
We will have fourteen 45-minute work sessions throughout the semester. Two progress checks
will result in a homework grade for the topics specified in earlier classes. Bring all project
materials each time. This is a good opportunity to have a peer edit your project, and vice versa.
This final project counts as TWO EXAM GRADES and ONE-HALF of your FINAL EXAM
grade. I strongly suggest that you complete your project to the very best of your abilities.
You might need to seek help outside of class in tutorial. Please make an appointment.
***This scoring rubric and your project outline should be attached to the CD cover of the project
