Doubles Plus 1 Snap!!
Play in pairs
You will need:
• ten frame cards
• some counters
• a hundred’s chart
How to Play:
• Put all your ten frame cards in a pile between you.
• Player 1 turns over the top card.
• Both players think... “What is the double + 1 for that number?”
• If the number is 7, then think
o “7 doubled is 14. Add one. That’s 15.”
• The first player to say the double plus 1 fact wins the card.
• The other partner puts a counter on the hundreds chart to show
the doubles fact.
• Keep playing until the cards run out.
• What numbers did you cover up? What patterns do you see?
