HW 6.1F: Area, Segment, Sector, and Annulus of a Circle Name _________________________________________________ Date _________________ Period ___________ Dartboard Measurements My dartboard has a diameter of 14 inches and is divided into 20 equal sections or regions. Each of these sections is assigned a particular number, from 1 to 20. Each of these sections is marked alternately with black and white colors. The dartboard also features two concentric circles. The outer circle is referred to as the 'double ring'. The ‘double ring’ has an outer diameter of 14 inches and an inner diameter of 13 inches. The inner circle is referred to as the 'triple ring' and has an outer diameter of 9 inches and an inner diameter of 8 inches. If the darts hit anywhere in the double ring zone, the player scores the double of the number assigned to that particular section, and if the dart hits the triple ring zone, the player scores triple of the number assigned to the section. The center of the dartboard, referred to as the 'bullseye', is also divided into two parts - the outer bull, which is green in color, and the inner bull, which is red in color. The outer bull has a diameter of 1.75 inches and earns a player 25 points. The inner bull has a diameter of .625 inches and earns a player 50 points.
