CYSS Volume 1, Issue 5 May 2011 Last Month’s Events Month of the Military Child Thank you for those of you who joined us for this event. It was wonderful to see the kids have so much fun! Stay tuned for more events to come!! If you would like copies of pictures please contact Parent Central. See back for pictures of the event!! Family Child Care (FCC): FCC is an option of choice for many families for several reasons, two of which include that it is conveniently located in the neighborhood and is significantly cheaper than off-post childcare. Providers offer wide range of developmental activities geared to the individual needs of the children in care while giving care in an atmosphere that is closest to the child’s experience with his/her own family. Outreach Services/School Liaison: The School Liaison Officer (SLO) works in conjunction with CYSS and the local school community to address educational issues involving military children. The SLO advocates for military families in a variety of areas within the school system to include home school and special needs children. Keep an eye out, and see the calendar on back for CYSS outreach events and activities occurring monthly at Parks RFTA.
