Follow these steps to help you!
Underline the place value or number to be
rounded.
473,842- Then look at the number directly to the
right. If that number is 5 or higher, you round
UP
If that number is 4 or lower, you round DOWN.
To round Up , change the underlined number by
going up to the next number. The REST of the
digits are zero. So, 473,842 would be 474,000
To round DOWN, the underlined digit stays the
