Storm Mountain Property Owners Update #5 on 6/30/14 1) Central Federal Lands Project Manager Micah Leadford informed us today that they plan to have a contract in place by mid to late August for work on our access road bridge and the 8 tenths of a mile of the access road owned by the Forest Service. The plan is to begin the work as soon as possible after the contract is in place. None of the cost of this work will come from PID Funds 2) Following is the assessment of repairs for the 8 tenths of a mile of the access road given to us on May 2nd by the Forest Service “Scope/Description of Repair: The roadway is 5.5 miles long and 16’ wide. This DSR begins at 0.7 MP from CR 43 and terminates at MP 1.5. The scope of work includes .8 miles of roadway milling and grading, 2500 LNFT of ditch reconditioning, .8 miles of spot resurfacing with gravel, rock embankment and Reinforced slope stabilization, repair minor embankment failure, clean-up two small landslides, and repave .8 miles. Assume material generated during cleanup will be used for miscellaneous embankment and roadway repairs.” 3) We have no further details of the nature of the work to be done on the bridge or the 8 tenths of a mile of the access road, but will share any information we get. 4) The 8 tenths of a mile portion of the access road (Forest Service portion) to be worked on is approximately from climbers rock to just below Bergs gate. 5) The PID board is still trying to arrange for more grading and will keep you informed. 6) The annual PID property owners meeting scheduled for July 19th will be held at the existing fire house (by the lake) not at the Big Thompson community bldg as originally stated.
