Daniel J. Green Administrative and Teaching Experience: 2014-2015 The Sage Colleges, Troy and Albany, NY Vice President for Marketing and Enrollment Management Responsible for developing and implementing improvements to Sage’s enrollment programs, net tuition revenue strategies, marketing, rebranding and website development. Direct lines of responsibilities included undergraduate and graduate admission, financial aid, marketing and communications, and enrollment research. I also initiated a new recruitment/retention program called Sage Service Alliance and developed a new three-week summer program for Chinese students commencing July 2016. For fall 2015 with new strategies for sustainable enrollment, net tuition revenue for new first-time students increased by more than $600 per student; overall net tuition revenue increased by more than $400,000. 2002-2014 Meredith College, Raleigh, NC Associate Provost for Enrollment (2013-2014) (Office of Provost) Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management (2002-2013) (Student Development) Served as chief enrollment officer and responsible for ensuring student success from the recruitment and retention stages through job acquisition and beyond. Direct lines of responsibilities include admissions, financial assistance, registrar, enrollment research, and overall strategic and implementation of enrollment areas. Since 2004, an 11.9% increase in full-time undergraduate students, and in fall 2009, the largest freshman class in the history of the College. Graduate enrollment has nearly doubled since 2006. I also conducted the Meredith College Chorus for two years. Additionally, I was Class Advisor for the Classes of 2010 and 2014. 1997-2002 The University of North Carolina (assignments by the Office of the President) Special Assistant to the Senior Vice President, The University of North Carolina, General Administration (Office of the President) (2001-02) Worked with senior administrators on a variety of academic affairs, enrollment, and planning issues for the UNC system (sixteen public universities). Major projects included the establishment of the policies, procedures, and infrastructure for participation in the Southern Regional Education Board’s (SREB) Academic Common Market, assistance with academic program reviews and the preparation of the University’s long-range plan, and assisting Elizabeth City State University in strengthening enrollment services. Director of Enrollment Management, North Carolina Central University (1999-2001) Asked by the Chancellor to develop and implement a comprehensive enrollment and integrated student services program to improve recruitment, retention, and graduation rates. Areas of direct report included the offices of enrollment management, admissions, records, and career planning and placement with responsibilities for leading collaboration among units such as scholarships and student aid, academic advising, student support services, testing, research and planning, public relations, and others. Reshaped the recruitment process and enrollment management infrastructure to ensure more personalized service with significant results: In 2000-01, NCCU had the largest enrollment of new students at every level in five years (FFR, +13.3%; TR +11.2%; GR +51.7%). In 2001-02, efforts resulted in increases in both new student and total headcount enrollment for the first time in six years. At the conclusion of the assignment, I hired enrollment staff and a new director of admissions. Assistant Vice President for Planning, The University of North Carolina, General Administration (Office of the President) (1997-99) Assisted the Senior Vice President/Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Vice President for Planning on a variety of academic affairs and planning issues. Major responsibilities included working with the faculties of the constituent universities in reviewing academic programs for conversion to the U.S. Department of Education’s program classification system, developing database structures and reporting methods for the UNC academic program inventories, and assisting with the University’s long-range plan. 1995-1997 North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) Senior Associate Vice President for Administration (1996-97) Executive Assistant to the President (1995-96) Went with the new President of NCCCS (former Fayetteville State University Chancellor) to be his chief of staff. Assisted the President with a broad range of administrative activities for the System Office, including academic and student services, legislative and public affairs, business and finance initiatives, and systemwide planning and research. President Hackley retired in 1997. 1989-1995 Fayetteville State University, The University of North Carolina Executive Assistant to the Chancellor (1993-95) Assisted the Chancellor with university activities including preparing, drafting, reviewing, and editing documents required by the University and its constituents; monitoring policies, procedures, and issues pertaining to the operations and administration of the institution; assisting the Board of Trustees; serving as a liaison between the Chancellor's Office and constituents of the University, internally and externally; and providing assistance in various special projects and granting opportunities including programming to help students who would otherwise be unable to pursue post-secondary education. Asst. Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs & Director of the University College (1991-93) Asst. Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences & Dir. of the University College (1989-91) Responsible for the development and supervision of the University College, advisement programs, honors program, testing and assessment center, and academic support units including the Mentoring Program, the University College Tutoring Program, TRIO programs, and several outreach activities. In addition, provided assistance in the leadership and management of the university's academic affairs policies, procedures, and planning. Duties also included the supervision of publications including the university catalogue, recruitment brochures, and course schedules. Assistant Professor of Music (1989-95) Taught music history, conducting, and theory courses for Music Education majors. 1988-1989 North Carolina School of the Arts, The University of North Carolina Executive Assistant to the Chancellor Faculty Member Assisted the Chancellor with a broad variety of functions including institutional public relations, governmental affairs, liaison with boards, speech writing, media consultation, and cultivation of special friends of the School. In addition, served as Choral Conducting Instructor for the School of Music. 1985-1988 Civic Chorale of Greater Miami & The University of Miami Singers Administrator Assistant Conductor Responsibilities included financial operations and budgets, promotion and publicity, grant writing, fund raising, coordination of special events, volunteer coordination and management, planning and follow-through of short and long range goals, recruitment of donors and members, concert tour management, and overall administration of these music ensembles, as well as the operations of Summer Choral Music Camps and Honor Choir Festivals. In addition, responsibilities included rehearsal preparation, stage movement, music composition and arranging, and direction of these ensembles. Served as Director of the University of Miami Women’s Choir and Recital Chorale. 1984-1985 Miami Choral Society Program Coordinator Director, Miami Boy Choir Conducted renowned Miami youth choir and concertized with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Florida and the Orchestra of Miami.
