ABOUT US
Small Yellow Horses’ museum quality, eco-friendly gift and paper products feature the vivid expressionist images
of artist Ketzia Schoneberg. SYH was conceived on a long, rainy drive from Oregon to California several years ago,
and began to ripen early in 2012. Our products are available through museum gift shops, galleries, nature centers,
bookstores and natural food stores.
Small Yellow Horses is named after a painting by Franz Marc, an early twentieth-century German Expressionist
member of the Fauve avant-garde art movement. Fauve means Wild Beasts in French, as the group‘s artists were
known for creating works which emphasized wild, painterly brush strokes and strong, unconventional color.
SYH’s images are created with a nod to the Fauve aesthetic, and our flagship line of greeting cards and magnets
feature that most primal and fundamental artist’s subject, wild animals.
