Cash flow in the Saudi Arabian construction industry grew throughout 2008 and stabilized in 2009, and is expected to maintain current levels throughout 2010, with slight growth in the commercial and retail practices. More than 720 projects with a total budget of more than $430 billion across commercial and retail, education and healthcare, leisure and entertainment, and residential sectors are currently in the pipeline confirming Saudi Arabia’s position as the Middle East’s leader in the construction industry. Whereas other Arabian Gulf markets continue to seek stability, the Saudi Arabian construction industry will continue building from a position of strength.
