St Bernadette’s School Loving our Learning, Living our faith, Knowing our God 190 Naenae Road, Naenae, Lower Hutt 5011. Phone (04)5678056, email : [email protected] Dear Parents and Caregivers, 3 August, 2014 Tomorrow we have our three way learning conferences for all year 4 - 8 students. The children and teachers are looking forward to sharing their learning with you. Please call Annette if you do not yet have an appointment. If tomorrow doesn’t suit please make an alternative time with your child’s teacher. It is important that your child knows that you are interested in their learning and progress. While you are here for learning conferences I am keen to see if you have any thoughts on our health curriculum. Every two years we are required to consult with our community on the health curriculum. Very soon the Year 6 8 students will be doing a Positive Puberty unit of learning. So this is a good time for us to be thinking about what is important for our community when we are thinking about teaching and learning in the area of health. There is only one question in this consultation What do you see as important in health education in our school? The Board of Trustees will then look at our current curriculum statement and see if we need to change it to better include your priorities. Here is our current health statement. Implementation of Health Curriculum St Bernadette’s School will implement a programme of health and physical education based on the New Zealand Curriculum, intending to make a positive difference to the well-being of students and their community.
