PENCE: 9 10 11 12 Good morning. The Department will have two agenda items. First, the minutes from the December 6, 2016, Cabinet meeting. Next is a 2017 Florida Law Enforcement 13 Officers Hall of Fame nominees. 14 Enforcement Officer's Hall of Fame was created in 15 2014, through Section 265.0041 Florida Statutes, to 16 recognize and honor our law enforcement officers 17 who put their lives on the line for the safety and 18 protection of Florida citizens and visitors through 19 their work, service and exemplary honor. 20 The Florida Law The first five members were inducted in 2016 21 and plaques are displayed upstairs on the plaza 22 level for honorees. 23 accepted from Florida Sheriff's Association, the 24 Florida Police Chief's Association, the Police 25 Benevolent Association, The Fraternal Order of C & N REPORTERS Each year nominations are TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA 850-697-8314 4 1 Police and the State Law Enforcement Chief's 2 Association. 3 association also served as a selection committee 4 that during a November 29, 2016, public meeting 5 identified five nominees for consideration of 6 approval by the Governor and Cabinet.
