Year 3 Homework Project for Term 3 Topic – Stone Age to Iron Age For our history topic we would like you to do a project on the ‘Prehistoric Period’. Your project could be a poster, an information booklet, a model or even a PowerPoint presentation. Be creative. But most of all… have fun! Try to do a different type of project from your last project. For instance, if you did a poster or booklet last time, why not try a model or game instead? Which project format you can choose: Design and Technology * Written text * Computer presentation * Oral Presentation (minimum of 2 minutes) * Art and Craft Game Performance Blog What you could do each week: Research; decide on which type of DT; plan; gather materials, make; evaluate; refine! Research; take notes; take photos; create a rough draft; edit; publish! Here are some ideas to get you started: A written text on how civilisation changed from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. A model of Stonehenge or an Iron Age Hillfort. Interview a family member of friend to create a timeline of their life. Undertake your own archeological dig in your garden (supervised by your parents) and record your findings. You MUST record what you are doing each week in your Project Record Sheet, which you will need to stick in your homework book. Your teacher will look at it each week to check that you are doing something on your project every week. This project is due on Friday 3rd February 2017. This means you have 4 weeks to do this project. Aim to do about one hour each week. If you have any problems/ questions with your project come and talk to your teacher. Do not leave it till the last week!
