Poinsettias Wall Hanging or Table Runner
Poinsettias are a symbol of Christmas and what better way to welcome guests to
your home than this lovely wall hanging or table runner. Flowers cascading across
a white background add to the festive nature of the season. Embossed felt adds
to the elegance.

Time to Complete: 5 hours to complete
Tools Needed:
6" x 24" Non-Slip, Frosted Advantage™ Acrylic Ruler: "The Essential" (QR 6 x
24)
24" x 36" Self-Healing Rotary Mat (RM-MG)
28mm Rotary Cutter (RTY-1/G)
Materials Needed:
Print or download Project Sheet (PDF)
1 yard ivory felt with cut out border
1/2 yard deep red embossed felt for blossoms
1/2 yard mauve felt for blossom accents
1/4 yard deep green felt for leaves
Gold buttons, beads, or trims for blossom centers
Fusible web such as Steam a Seam

Cut Ivory felt to 36" or desired length, using ruler and rotary cutter to make sure ends are straight.
Apply fusible web to back of all fabrics.
Cut out 5 small red poinsettia blossoms, 5 large red and 5 large mauve blossoms.
Cut out 10 green leaves.
Place blossoms and leaves as desired, layering large red blossom on the bottom, mauve in the center, and small red on top.
Place leaves under bottom blossom.
Fuse poinsettias in place using a warm iron. Press gently to avoid melting the felt or crushing the embossing.
Attach buttons or beads to centers using thread or hot glue gun.
