Today’s Chaldeans are descendants of the people who settled the fertile valley between the Tigris and Euphrates
Rivers in ancient Mesopotamia. The people who, in essence, gave birth to what we know as civilization. Since that
time, nearly 5,000 years ago, Chaldeans have recognized that the most important element of that “civilization” is
fellowship. To this day, Chaldean society is unique in its bonds of fellowship, and nowhere are those bonds stronger
than at Shenandoah Country Club, which is owned and operated by the Chaldean Iraqi American Association of
Michigan, Inc. (CIAAM). In fact, we see those bonds as much like family ties. And frequently, they are. We’d like
you to be a part of the family. Shenandoah Country Club and CIAAM have a long and proud history. The
Association was formed in 1965 with about 60 members. Within two years, the CIAAM had doubled in size. Today
it has more than 1,000 member’s families. When you join as a member, you will receive the greatest benefit of all,
you will strengthen the recreational, social and business bonds among the “family” of Michigan Chaldeans.
