Bedford High School Appendix: Time Trends, By Gender, and By Grade Greater Manchester Public Health Region How to Read the Tables in this Report Data in this example are only an example and not from Bedford High School. 1. Page title lets you know which indicator’s data is being presented on the page. 2. The numbers and percentages in the graphs and tables match. All the data used to produce the graphics are included in the table. 3. The question, as asked on the 2015 YRBS is provided as well as some information on how the question and answers may have changed over time. If time trends aren’t complete the reason may be because the question changed too much to allow for accurate comparisons. 4. The table contains the percentages in the other graphs and also provides the estimated number of students engaged in the risk behavior. State and Regional Estimates State and Regional estimates are calculated from a random sample developed using scientific survey methods. These methods ensure the respondents are representative of students in the region in the State. These estimates account for student, classroom, school, and regional factors. The random sample is not designed to provide school level estimates. School Level Estimates The survey response rate at Bedford High School was 88% where 1,289 of 1,468 students took the survey. School level estimates are not based on a scientifically designed survey method. However, because participation was relatively high the school estimates may still be representative of the entire school population. Results could be less representative if if specific classrooms or classroom types were not included in the survey. We have attempted to estimate how many students in the school actually fall within each risk category. We did this by scaling up the students responding in the survey using school enrollment data. 2015 Youth Risk Behavior Survey Bedford High School Page:3 Number and % of students who ever used methamphetamines School Region NH 4.1% 3.0% 2.5% 59 of 1,445 students 219 of 7,266 students 1,415 of 57,306 students School* Region # % # % Over Time 2007 2009 54 2011 2013 2015 58 27 59 5.8 State # % 3,755 5.6 3,030 4.7 4.6 2,627 4.2 2.1 1,677 2.9 4.1 219 3.0 1,415 2.5 By Gender Female 15 Male 44 2.1 79 2.3 384 5.8 135 3.6 972 1.4 3.3 By Grade 09th 15 10th 6 11th 12 12th 14 4.2 1.6 3.5 3.9 1.5 2.1 2.3 3.1 27 41 63 60 1.4 2.3 3.4 3.8 231 306 313 409 Footnotes and notes * School results are calculated using non scientific survey sample.
