*CALL TO WORSHIP
Psalm 95:1-7 responsively
Liturgist
O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our
Salvation.
Let us come into God’s presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful
noise with songs of praise.
For the Lord is a great God, and a great Ruler above all gods, in whose hands
are the depths of the earth and also the heights of the mountains.
The sea belongs to God who made it, on the dry land, because God formed It.
O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker.
ALL: For the Lord is our God, we are the people of God’s pasture, the sheep
of God’s hand.

Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee
INVOCATION
Pastor
Let us pray together. Our heavenly Father, we your humble children invoke your
blessing on us.
We adore you, whose name is love,
whose nature is compassion, whose presence is joy,
whose Word is truth, whose Spirit is goodness,
whose holiness is beauty, whose will is peace,
whose service is perfect freedom, and in knowledge of whom stands our eternal
life. Unto you be all honor and all glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

First Baptist Church.

CUMC will be collecting tuna, peanut butter, face and body soap, laundry detergent and toilet
paper for the pantry.

Akron Oh 44308. He would appreciate receiving cards.
Easter Lily order forms are included in today’s bulletin. Price is $9.00 each. The deadline to
place orders is April 9th.
UMW Prayer Buddies: As part of the Year of Prayer Initiative, United Methodist Women will
be praying for Christ Church’s leadership and staff members throughout 2017. It has been
said that praying for a church is like filling a balloon with helium, the more it is filled, the more
it will soar. We’re excited to see our church soar, benefiting from the encouragement and
intercessory prayer from this group of dedicated women.
Breakfast for the Soul: The Explorers Sunday School class will be providing a free, hot
breakfast to community children and their families on Sunday morning. During and after
breakfast, the children will participate in Sunday School activities and the adult family
members can either join an adult Sunday School class or stay in fellowship hall for a brief
time of devotions and prayer. We would like to invite all church members to come and join us
for breakfast and to visit with our guests at 8:45. Hope to see you all there!
New in our Library: “The White Umbrella” by Mary Frances Bowley. This is a book by the
founder and president of Wellspring Living, an organization fighting childhood sexual abuse and
exploitation since 2001. This book is on the 2016 UMW Reading Program Book List.
The Year of Prayer is on the Web
All of the material from The Year of Prayer is now available on the church website, starting
from the introduction at Advent last year, the monthly presentations of a new style of prayer
practice, and the weekly focuses. The content has been reformatted exclusively for the web,
and new content will be added each week. Did you miss a week or do you want to go back to
review? It's all there: www.cumcalliance.org
Salvation Army is providing a free shuttle to and from Save-A-Lot and Aldis. If interested you
must call them at 823-5188 by Friday each week.
You then need to be at Sa
lvation Army on Monday morning. They will take you to the stores and will deliver you back to
your home. Call the Salvation Army with any questions.
