IT’S BEEN BRILLIANT RAISING MONEY FOR THE PRINCE’S TRUST. – MAX, PRINCE’S TRUST SUPPORTER Fundraising doesn’t have to be taxing. Fit it into your daily life by setting up a tuck-shop at your desk or encouraging friends and colleagues to take a pedometer challenge. Young people are almost 3x more likely to suffer from unemployment than older workers Over half a million young people are unemployed YOUNG PEOPLE NEED YOUR HELP Over one third of young people who aren’t in employment, education or training feel too anxious to leave the house Life in the UK was daunting for Quej, who arrived as a refugee. He’d experienced physical violence on a daily basis, walked 24 miles a day to school and had no secondary education. The Prince’s Trust helped Quej find his feet. He earned certificates in sports coaching and an apprenticeship. He’s now a part time youth worker and Prince’s Trust Ambassador. Quej works tirelessly, is on a constant quest to learn, and puts a grin on everyone’s face. THE PRINCE’S TRUST GAVE ME A FOUNDATION FOR THE FUTURE AND A CHANCE. HELD A BAKE SALE AT WORK AS PART OF A TEAM FUNDRAISING EFFORT. THEIR TEAM AIMS TO RAISE £10,000 FOR THE TRUST. When I was at school, I was always really quiet and shy. I was also bullied and I ran into problems with my mental health. As well as writing and drawing to deal with all the things going on in my life, I also started taking drugs. LAINE ESPERANZATE MY STORY My panic attacks got worse and it wasn’t long before I was admitted into Brookside, a young person’s mental health unit. When I found The Prince’s Trust Team programme, I didn’t think anything would come of it. However, through the care and support of the staff, they showed me that I did have a future and there were things that I could do in life. I started to take on challenges, working as part of a team and coming up with ways to channel the ideas I had. Thanks to them I now have a job as a digital marketing apprentice. Joining The Prince’s Trust was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever done. I’m now a different person. The support I’ve had has given me a positive outlook on life. I’ve found the confidence to look and be the way I want to be. I HAVE PASSION ABOUT WHAT I’M DOING AND AM READY FOR THE FUTURE. HAVE FUN FUNDRAISING!
