A PATH TO A NEW PLAYGROUND
Your purchase of a custom-engraved brick will help fund
a new playground at Helen Keller Middle School.
An effort is underway to rebuild the playground in front of Helen Keller Middle School
and we are hoping for your help. The playground has been well-loved over the years
and is in need of replacement. Easton’s Park and Rec Department has done a
wonderful job of maintaining the site and structures, but the playground equipment
has been there for decades and is worn, unsafe, and few structures are accessible
to disabled children. The playground is long-overdue for replacement and is important
because it is the only playground open to pre-school age children and Easton visitors
during school hours. Unfortunately, our town budget cannot fully fund a project of this
size so a group has gotten together to help the effort.
Easton Parents for a Better Playground and the Easton Park and Rec Department are
taking orders for custom-engraved bricks to build an entrance walkway into the new
playground. All brick orders will help fund the new playground design, equipment and
installation. Please see the attached order form and consider ordering one or more
bricks today! Every brick order will get us closer to our goal of giving the children of
Easton a new playground in 2016!
If you do not wish to order a brick but would still like to donate, you may send a check
payable to Easton Park and Rec/Playground Project; P.O. Box 13, Easton, CT 06612.
