This is a tentative schedule of classes only. All classes
offered in summer school must have a minimum number
of students to remain part of the summer school schedule.
CREDIT RECOVERY/E-2020: E-2020 is an internet based program offered in a
classroom under the supervision of a teacher and teacher’s aide. Students work at
their own pace to complete the program BUT MUST successfully complete all work
by the LAST DAY of the summer school session. STUDENTS REPLACING A GRADE
on their transcript MUST take exactly the same course in summer school that was
taken during the school year: e.g. an Algebra I grade in summer school will only
replace an Algebra I grade from the school year. IT WILL NOT REPLACE ANY OTHER
COURSE GRADE. E-2020 is offered in the following subjects, either semester at either
time: Algebra I, Geometry, ChemComm, GeoPhysical Science, Civics, US History,
World History, English 9, Intermediate Composition, Economics.
INCOMING NINTH GRADERS: Ninth graders interested in Personal Fitness in summer
school are reminded that the summer school program is only 20 days in length. During this
time students are expected to develop and demonstrate skills in swimming, running, and
weight training. Students who need more time to develop these skills(especially swimming)
should consider taking PF during the school year. Other courses and physical education
options are open to students during the summer school program.
ATTENDANCE POLICY: ABSENCES FOR ANY REASON WILL BE LIMITED TO A
MAXIMUM OF ONE. NOTE: Tardies in excess of 5 or absences in excess of 1 in any class
will result in a loss of credit with no refund. All work must be made up for any day missed.
STUDENTS PLANNING ON TAKING A VACATION OR ATTENDING SUMMER CAMPS
DURING THE SUMMER SESSION SHOULD NOT REGISTER.
APPOINTMENTS
SHOULD BE SCHEDULED AFTER CLASS TIME. STUDENTS MUST BE PRESENT IN
CLASS ON THE FINAL DAY OF SUMMER SCHOOL, THURSDAY, JULY 27, TO
RECEIVE CREDIT. THERE ARE NO EXCUSED ABSENCES IN SUMMER SCHOOL.
FEES: ALL fees are payable in full at the time of registration. Classes will be $295.00 per
semester class for ALL students. Mail in registrations: Please pay by check or money order
made payable to PLYMOUTH-CANTON SCHOOLS. Out of district students must pay by
money order or certified check. Students who register during walk-in on June 20 or
June 21 or the first day of classes MUST pay by money order, certified check or cash.
Students are placed on a first registered/first placed basis.
REFUNDS: NO REFUNDS will be made after the first day of classes. Prior to this, a
$15.00 charge will be applied unless the class is canceled by the Summer School Principal.
Students changing classes once summer school begins on June 26 will be charged $10 for
each change.
REPORT CARDS: Parents should expect to see a mid-summer report on MISTAR around
July 12 and final report cards will be mailed about August 3. DIPLOMAS for those seniors
who are completing their graduation requirements WILL NOT be available until Friday,
August 4. Check with the General Office of your home school.
