ASSISTED LIVING NEWS
The residents were all loaded up waiting to
be in the Cranberry Parade when this nice
cow came aboard and gave everyone
hugs; the cow was a fun surprise.
October has been such an
exciting month with so many
fun things happening.
Luncheon, trips, parties, music
and much more.
Some of the amazing Bandon
High kids came to volunteer for
a day of sharing; the residents
loved them all. They painted the
activity room, tie dyed shirts,
and had a car wash, washing the
residents’ wheelchairs, walkers
and carts. Then the wonderful
“Overtones” sang for the
residents and wowed them all.
The ladies worked hard on the first part of
many Halloween decorations
ASSOCIATE OF THE

A great time was had by all who went out
to lunch at our own “Minute Cafe”, where
the staff treated everyone like family.

George Swanson has stepped
up to his position and has done
a wonderful job. He gets his list
and he continues with a smile.
George always has such a great
attitude toward residents and
staff, if he see someone needing
help he is always the first to
jump in and help them ... He
has been seen helping those in
wheelchairs to wherever they are
needing to go. George is a real
asset to this community and a
friend to all. Thank you, George,
for all you do!
The kids worked so hard in the Activity
Room giving it a new coat of paint.

the “car wash” for the residents.

A Poem for Alzheimer’s
and Dementia
Do not ask me to remember.
Don’t try to make me
understand.
Let me rest and know you’re
with me.
Kiss my cheek and hold
my hand.
I’m confused beyond your
concept.
I am sad and sick and lost.
All I know is that I need you
To be with me at all cost.
Do not lose your patience
with me.
Do not scold or curse or cry.
I can’t help the way I’m
acting,
Can’t be different though
I try.
Just remember that I need
you,
That the best of me is gone.
Please don’t fail to stand
beside me,
Love me till my life is done.

Pacific View has great entertainment each
and every week!! Thanks to the Activities
Directors Billy and Lorinda for all their hard
work each and every day. If you have a
talent you want to share, call us!!
October was a very busy
month in Memory Care. We had
lots of High School student
volunteers for community
service day. They came in and
read to residents, painted nails,
and had an all around good
time. One of the activities we
did was making tie dye T-shits,
so watch for all the beautiful
colorful shirts. We have been
keeping busy making holiday
decorations and preparing for
the up and coming festivities for
Thanksgiving.
Thank you,
Billie Green
