For a pressure differential of 0.1 psi, it is desired that the manometer give a differential reading of 12 in along the inclined tube. Determine the required angle of inclination, θ. SG=1.6 3- The inclined manometer reads zero when A and B are the same pressure. The reservoir diameter is 2 in, and that of the inclined tube ¼ in. For θ=30º, gage fluid sp gr 0.832, find PA-PB in lb/in2 as a function of gage reading R in feet. 4- In the micro-manometer, the pressure difference is wanted, when air at 20 ◦C is in the system, S2=1.0, S3=1.10, a/A=0.01, h=5mm and the barometer reads 760 mmHg. 5- A 2.5 in-diameter nozzle meter is installed in a 3.8 in-diameter pipe that carries water at 160ºF. If the inverted air- water U-tube manometer used to measure the pressure difference across the meter indicates a reading of 3.1 ft, determine the flowrate. 6- Water flows over a triangular weir, as is shown in figure. Determine the dependence of the flow rate on the depth H. If depth of water is increased to 3 times of H, estimate the flow rate of water. H θ
