300 MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING HONORABLE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SACRAMENTO. JUNE 29th, 1933. The Honorable City Council met in Regular Session on this date Mayor Bidwell presiding and,Rol1 Call was answered as follows:Councilmen Anderson, Belihouse, Bidwell, Ferguson, Foss, Monk, Scollan, Truesdale. ABSENT: Councilman Maddox. The Minutes of Regular Meeting June 22nd, 1933, were read and approved. The following bids were received and ordered referred to City Manager:BAUXITE - FILTRATION PLANT NAME 200 TONS BAUXITE The Republic Mining and Mfg. Co., 230 Park Avenue, . New York City, N. Y. $16.90 Per ton of 2240 pounds. DELIVERY CHECK Within 20 Days $169.00 Request for removal of following trees filed with City Council on date of June 22nd, 1933, was granted as follows:5 Cottonwood trees - 2101 - 12th street. In accordance with application, report of Chief of Police and recommendation of City Manager which were ordered filed, Councilman Bellhouse moved that G. G GUNUGNIr, GRANTED SOFT DRI LICENSE 1023-3rd STREET. A LAZZARINI GRANT POOL LIC 1118-3rd STREET. Gunugnina be granted a Soft Trink License for premises 1023 - 3rd street. Seconded by Councilman Truesdale and carried by following vote:AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Bellhouse, Bidwell, Ferguson, Foss, Monk, Scollan, Truesdale. ABSENT: Councilman Maddox. In accordance with application, report of Chief of Police and recommendation of City Manager which were ordered filed, Councilman Ferguson moved that A. Lazzarini be granted a Pool Parlor license at premises 1118 Third Street. Seconded by Councilman Foss and carried by following vote:AYES: Gouncilmen Anderson, Belihouse, Bidwell, Ferguson, Foss, Monk, Sco3lan,.Truesdale.ABSENT: Councilman Maddox. VARNEY CHAN GRNTD RE ST & BE LICENSE 1235 J ST TRANSFER FROM A.CONDON. In accordance with application., report of Chief of Police and recommendation of City Manager which were ordered filed, Councilman Ferguson moved that Varney Chan be granted a Restaurant and Beverage license for premises 1235 J Street, transfer from Alfred Condon. Seconded by Councilman Truesdale and carried by following vote:AYES: Councilmen Anderson, Bellhouse, Bidwell, Ferguson, Foss, Monk, Scollan, Truesdale. ABSENT: Councilman Maddox„ APPLICATs A G SILVA POOL LIC 628 Q ST REF MNGR FURTHER INVESTIGATION* In accordance with recommendation of City Manager, Councilman Sco3.lan moved that application of A. G. Silva for Pool license at 628.Q Street, be denied. Seconded by Councilman Belihouse. Mr. George Lewis representing applicant addressed Council requesting favorable action on application. After general discussion by members of Council, foregoing motion was withdrawn and Councilman Scollan thereupon moved that new license be granted in lieu of a transfer of both license and premises. Seconded by Councilman Monk ° and carried by following vote:- • Councilmen Anderson, Belihouse, Bidwell, Ferguson, Foss, Monk, AYES: Councilman Maddox. ABSENT: Scollan, Truesdale. Report of City Manager submitting application of A. B. Wilderfor Restaurant and Beverage license at 3412 - 3rd Avenue was read and ordered filed. Mr. A. B. Wilder addressed Council stating that Restaurant had been conducted on foregoing premises for one month, Councilmen Bidwell and Scollan advised applicant that under provisions of ACTION ON APPLICATfN A B WILDER REST & BEV LICENSE 3412 - 3rd AVENUE CONTINUED AUGUST 3rd. Ordinance No. 579, Fourth Series, action could not be taken until expiration of additional 30 days. Councilman Ferguson expressed himself in favor of granting foregoing license, stating that same was a legitimate business, Councilman Scollan moved that action on foregoing license be postponed until August 3rd. Seconded by Councilman Bellhouse and carried as follows:AYES: Truesdale. Councilmen Anderson, Bel.lhouse, Bidwell, Foss, Monk, Scollan, Councilman Maddox. NOES: Councilman Ferguson.
