is looking for believable or fantastic plots, well-developed settings and
characters that are tangible and involved in the story. We want originality
and dedicated story telling. Non-fiction should be well researched and
completely documented with appropriate citations for any sources other
than public domain or the author’s own personal knowledge or opinion.
Fantasy fictional worlds should be clearly developed and detailed enough
to create a “visual setting” that a typical reader can grasp.
Our Augusta-Heritage Press imprint accepts submissions in all the
mainstream fiction sub-genres, including, but not necessarily limited to
Historical Fiction, Contemporary Fiction, Young Adult Fiction, Suspense,
Mystery, Paranormal Fiction, and Children’s Literary Fiction.

fiction sub-genres, including, but not necessarily limited to Romance
Fiction, Erotica Fiction, Paranormal Erotic Fiction, Gay and Lesbian Fiction
that avoids any formula approach. Our philosophy is to encourage the
unusual, original and even groundbreaking. So if you have an idea that
others may have suggested is too far outside the box, by all means allow us
the opportunity to evaluate your proposal.
Please consider the following information when making a submission to
any imprint of Effen Entertainment:
Shorter works- 12,000 - 20,000 words
Novellas – 20,000 - 40,000 words
Full novels - 50,000+ words
We do NOT accept:
 Poetry of any description unless it falls into the content of a work of
prose.

Any fictional work that includes the abuse of children for the purpose
of titillation.
Non-fiction work about children and child abuse will be considered
when understanding and preventing abuse is a purpose of part of the
work.
All submissions should be professionally presented and 'camera ready'
including no typos, spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors, and
clean and consistent point of view.
First drafts will not be
considered unless such submission has been specifically solicited
by an editor of one of our imprints.

Manuscripts should be prepared as follows:







Please submit all works in RTF (rich text) Word format, or Adobe PDF
format.
Margins: 1" (inch) top, bottom, left, right.
Single line spacing.
Tabs set at 0.5"
Plain text only, please.
Times New Roman 12 point font.
Chapter headings or titles should be in Times New Roman 18 point.
Include first five chapters, synopsis, length of manuscript and cover
letter with author credits.
Only full novels of 75,000 words and up will be considered for future POD
print publication.
