YEARBOOKS ARE HERE!
If you pre-ordered a yearbook, it will be coming home with your child today. If you didn’t pre-order a yearbook, and
would like one for your child, send in $20.00 to the school office in an envelope marked “yearbook” with your child’s
name by May 5th. Yearbooks are limited so they will be offered on a “first come, first serve” basis.

FIELD DAY
Just a reminder, this week we will be tie-dying our Field Day t-shirts in art class. The children are really looking
forward to this experience. The shirts will be dyed in class and placed in a zip locked bag. The dye needs to set
overnight so the shirts will be sent home wet. Please make sure to rinse and wash and dry the shirt the next day.
Complete instructions were sent home with the shirts. Please return them to their class homeroom teacher. They will
keep them until Field Day. Thank you for your help. Field Day is Tuesday, May 16th.

PARENTS OF 6TH GRADE STUDENTS
The Ohio Department of Health has mandated that all students entering 7 th grade must have had a Tdap (a combined
tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis vaccine) or a Td (tetanus and diphtheria) immunization within the past 5 years.
They recommend the students get vaccinated with the Tdap vaccine, as it has the extra protection against pertussis
(whooping cough) and they have reported an increased number of cases in our area and throughout the US. They also
must have had one dose of the Meningitis vaccine (Menactra or Menveo), this is a new requirement that started
with the 2016-2017 school year. You can get your child vaccinated by their physician, or go to one of the local Health
Department vaccination clinics. All students must present proof to the school office before the first day of the
2017-2018 school year. If your student has already been vaccinated, please send in written documentation now
(either a copy or you may have your doctor fax it to the school (440) 564-7969), and your child will be all set for
next year. If you have questions, please call Sr Dorothy Luli at school (564-7125), or at home 440-413-3289.
