About Scientific Method
The scientific method is a process for experiments.
Lots of people use scientific method, expectally
scientist.Scientist use it to search for cause and effect in
nature realationships. There is 6 steps in Scientific
Methods.
STEP 1: Ask a question
The scientific method starts off with a question.
Like how, what, why, where, and when? In order for
the question to be effective it has to be something you
can measure.
STEP 2: Research
After you come up with a question, you do research to help you find the
answer. You can go to the libary or use the internet to research. While you
research you might learn about the mistakes that other people made trying to
solve the same question.
STEP 3: Hypothesis
Hypothesis is an educated guess on how things will work. The
hypothesis is made to help you with your original question. For it to
work your hypothesis has to be something you can measure.
STEP 4: Testing the hypothesis
The next step is to test whether your hypothesis is true or false.
You have to test it fairly for it to be accurate. It would help to test it
several times to make sure the first time was correct.
STEP 5: Analyze Data & Come up with
Conclusion
Once you complete your experiment, you analyze your measurements
and decided if your hypothesis correct or not. If the hypothesis was
wrong, most people create a new one. When you create a new
hypothesis you have to start the experiment over again.
STEP 6: PRESENTATION
Once you've finished your experiment and discovered if your
hypothesis was true or false. The last step is presenting in front of an
audiences. There are many ways to display your experiment. You can
show your results in a report or a display board.
