Dear Applicant
Thank you for your interest in the position of Headteacher at our school. Farmborough is a
welcoming, positive and happy school community and we are very proud of our status as an
Outstanding School as graded by OFSTED and SIAMS. This is an exciting time for us as we are
currently enjoying a period of growth and investment, pupil numbers are increasing and we are
managing the expansion of the buildings on site.
Our Headteacher retires at the end of this academic year, following twelve happy and successful
years where under her leadership we have made significant progress and achieved excellent
standards of learning. We are now seeking to appoint an inspirational and committed leader to
work in partnership with our experienced and dedicated staff, to build on the school’s successes
and drive the school forward in future development and growth.
Farmborough is an inclusive school and our aim is to provide the opportunities for all our pupils to
fulfil their own potential. We are very proud of our engaging, well behaved and motivated pupils
and are looking for someone with the highest integrity and the commitment and passion to help
and encourage every student to try and exceed their aspirations, both academically and socially,
and to value and contribute to our community.
We are looking for a Headteacher who will be the lead professional in the school, and a highly
motivated and innovative role model. We are proud of our Christian values and welcoming family
atmosphere throughout the school and believe it is vital to the on-going success of the school that
our values and ethos are maintained and developed. We need a person who is open and
approachable, who can maintain our standards, identify and deliver change, and lead our team of
staff forward to develop the school to its maximum potential.
This will be a rewarding role for the successful candidate and the Governors are fully committed to
providing the new Headteacher with all the support that he/she may need in taking up the post.
