Mrs. Magee’s Newsletter Title Room #154 Important dates First Grade Open House Reading At Home Reading to your child is the very best way to convince him/her that reading is a fun and a valued family activity. Our reading program provides leveled books for your child to take home. Each child will receive a copy of a class book after leveled reading groups have been established. This week. Your child is to keep this copy and begin building a little library of their own, with books they can read to themselves and family members. Every child is very excited about reading . Please encourage them to read to you every night. Enjoy this time together. We would also like to create a cookbook this Fall. If you have an apple recipe you would like to share please send it in by Oct. 1st. You can also include any fall or holiday recipes. Scholastic Book Orders Thank you for your book orders. .If you decide to order next month it is important that a separate check be made to each company. No cash please. Schedule Update: *Monday mornings we have computer Lab. *Tuesday: OMA Music ART: *This month we have learned about Cave Art and the first artists. We painted rocks and wrote stories & painted pictures. Happy Happy Birthday! Special birthday wishes to: America 8/25th Tuesday and Thursday PE: Taught by the teacher for first semester. Students may not participate in PE if they are wearing strapless shoes or sandals. This is a safety rule. Please consult your handbook. Thank you for your support. We will be talking about upcoming events and weather and much more. Please share the newspaper at home with your child.
